murder manor - reunion

[You are in a darkened theater.
In front of you is an enormous cinema screen. On it plays video of the manor, accompanied by appropriate sound effects and background instrumentals when fitting. The seat you're sitting on is large and plush, and while there's many of them, there's enough room in the theatre for you to fully recline the seat into a comfortable bed if you wish.
Follow the stairs up and you'll reach what should be the projection room. There are no projectors in here, however; it is simply a large and well-lit room above the main seating area, and a good place to hang out with your fellow eliminated contestants if shouting at each other across the aisles proves too much to handle.
If you leave the theatre through the door in the back, you'll find yourself in a hall. On one end is a concession stand. It's stocked with standard movie snacks - popcorn, candy and the like - but if you're feeling the urge for something else, you'll be able to find it stocked somewhere in the back. On the other end is a table with thirty wrapped bags and a placard reading 'A star for our stars! Please accept these lovely giftbags as a token of appreciation for your hard work, sponsored by [illegible smudge]'. Each bag has a tag bearing the name of someone in the mansion; you will only be able to open the bag with your name on it. As soon as you open it, any memories that have been taken from you, including those of the other people in the mansion that you may have forgotten, will be returned in their entirety. Within the bag are also objects from your home that you may want for your stay here, though you will find no weapons.
There are no other doors in the hall save for the one leading back into the theatre room. There are also no windows; it is impossible to tell where you are and what is going on in the outside world. Any attempts to break out will fail. So in the meantime, why not sit back and enjoy the show?]
Murder Manor reunion week has begun! The next week will take place outside the game (and will not be remembered by the living characters). Once the week is over, the living characters will be right back where they left off, Sunday night in the manor.
All the dead characters and eventually all living characters will participate in this week, through Belarus and Yuzu will just be empty shells who cannot interact with the others. Dead characters (except Lithuania, who never arrived) will all be in the theater from the beginning, whereas living characters will only be brought in once specifically introduced, and will be given their memories at that time.
During the times when Doris is taking questions, characters will not be able to talk about things that are 'off topic.' They can talk and reunite with one another, but need to focus on things relevant to that week or topic of discussion. Any time they get off topic, they will find themselves stuck trying to make the words come out of their mouth and will simply trail off. There will be breaks where characters can talk without this restriction, but the same will happen to anyone who, at any time, starts trying to talk about anything to do with there being a Mastermind or player to benefit from the game or planted player who isn't Lithuania. Codes and other attempts to get around this rule will still result in trailing off.

However, the screen is no longer showing a live feed of what is happening inside Murder Manor. Instead, it is showing a video montage of events from the game, set to saccharine music. The events flash by quickly, in no particular order, showing casual events, murders, players happily spending time together, arguments at trial, and villainous breakdowns afterwards. Curiously, there is absolutely nothing shown of the week since Sonia's execution.
Once the montage ends, a woman steps out from backstage to stand on the platform beneath the screen. She appears to be Doris, dressed in a long, sequined black dress, with the veil covering her face darker than usual. Still, you can see that there is something very blank in her expression. She will respond to nothing that is said to her directly, and though she will address members of the audience, she won't look precisely in their direction and her timing is sometimes off; it could almost seem to be a voice recording. Anyone who tries to touch her will find a forcefield between she and the others.]
Good evening, everyone! Welcome to a very special reunion event! We are so excited to catch up with all of our wonderful past guests and reflect on the special time spent together.

Week One
[As she speaks, a video will play on the screen.]
As you all know, that was our very first mystery here, starring Lydia Martin and Bernkastel! But not everything went quite as planned...
[Next, another short clip plays.]
Miss Marlow and Alice start out investigating, and what a wonderful job they do! Is it any surprise they made it to the end?
And then that trial. I would venture to say the conclusion was one of the most exciting to date!
[She plays a short clip from the end, as well as some scenes from Bernkastel's breakdown.]
So tell me, Lydia, darling, how did you feel being first?
Bernkastel, what about you. I remember I asked your regrets. Anything different now that you've had a few weeks to think about it? And, of course, all of us were still there that week, so please chime in with any of your thoughts, everyone! Were you surprised by Bernkastel's reveal?

Executions
[The video of Bernkastel's execution plays.]
Talking with viewers, we've learned the executions were among everyone's favorite part of the program! The top favorite executions, besides fan favorite Bernkastel, were Sonia and Reiko!
[First Sonia and then Siren's execution videos will play.]
Among the crew here, however, we're rather partial to Kanaya. And there's no forgetting Kaoru and Touko!
[Kanaya, Touko, and Kaoru's executions will play.]
Those of you who were executed, how did you feel about your execution? And the victims, Lydia, Dave, Rin, Belarus, Michael, Beat, Poland, what do you think? Did the punishment fit the crime?
How about the rest of the audience? Favorite and least favorite execution?
[She will call on a few at random to answer.]

The Ones Who Didn't Get Away
Ukraine, Latvia, let's hear from the two of you. Are you angry about what happened? Let's have a quick refresher...
[She will read out the voting lists for Latvia and Ukraine, and play scenes from Latvia and Ukraine's post trials, as well as their subsequent hangings.]
Tsk, tsk, it must be especially hard to look your killers in the eyes, isn't it? Well, do any of you who voted wrongly have anything to say for yourselves? There was certainly some very memorable controversy at the time!
[She will play the reaction towards Annie and Spain in the aftermath, particularly focusing on the fights around Ukraine's hanging.]
We'll have time to talk about just what happened those weeks later, but for now, let's remember Latvia and Ukraine! Wasn't it sort of their own fault, or would you blame Annie and Spain even more? And what about the grudges against Annie and Spain. Are we still holding them?

The Second Week
Now, for the first time, some special exclusive footage!
[A video plays.]
Of course, it wouldn't be a discussion of the second week without a very special guest star! Please give a round of applause for Annie Leonhardt!
[The doors in the back open. Annie is stepping through, holding her gift bag, looking in a daze, as though she's sleep-walking. However, suddenly she'll wake up and be aware of her surroundings.]
Annie, welcome! We're discussing your murder of Minatsuki Takami! Anything to say to Minatsuki or Ukraine?
no subject
You bitch, I'll fucking kill you!
[ Sorry, Hostess. Hope you weren't expecting anything civil. Minatsuki launches herself at her murderer. ]

Week 3
I was a big fan of Miss Aya's plot myself! That search for the body was one of the most suspenseful moments of the early game, wasn't it?
[She will play a brief clip, as well as a clip of the discovery.]
And the trial was exciting, too! We were spun a fantastic tale of betrayal, pitting Dave and Mr. Altman against one another. For a brief moment, we were swept up in a world of ninja battles and foiled plots.
[Another clip or two is shown.]
And then, in the end, it all came down to a drawing!
Any thoughts about this week? Dave, Reiko, Mr. Altman? Oh, and Dave, tell us, when you created that work of art, did you ever think it would be used as a clue in your own murder?
no subject
I certainly don't regret trying. To think that people thought I should simply sit around and wait to be murdered while such weak men benefited from my death is just silly in a game like this... it's insulting.
My entire life has been about ensuring my survival in a universe at war with itself and rife with cruel atrocities. Being a helpless victim doesn't suit my sensibilities, so I took matters into my own hands.
I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Talents
[A few scenes play: Rin singing, Gundam putting on a hamster obstacle course, Kanaya sketching, Rin playing piano, an Dave's rapping ghost.]
But no list of talented players is complete without paying tribute to everyone's favorite performer and bad girl...
[A montage plays on the screen, showing a few scenes: Rapture breaking into song at trial, dancing to the radio, playing piano, performing in the ballroom, reading crystal balls, singing down her incentive, rocking the trial with Sonia, and on Halloween.]
And we're all in for a special treat, because she's here to give an encore performance!
[From behind the screen, Rapture comes out. She looks dazed, and, like Annie before her, seems to be sleepwalking. However, as soon as she wakes up, any music she likes will play to set the stage for an incredible performance.]
no subject
Sting, Sting, Stingers! We’ll sting you with our sound! [ It is also accompanied with the token dance that comes along with it. Rapture seems to be handling both singing what is usually Riot's vocals along with the dance quite well. It is an art. ]
We’re the happenin’ band, we’re takin’ wind, we’re the latest buzz. The greatest band that ever was!
[ She gets severely into it, more so than any of her other performances. There are a couple of twirls here, a few leaps there, but not without her pointer fingers in the air. ]
We’re off to a hot staaaaart. We’re gonna rock this place apart! [ Her voice becomes lower and huskier: ] We’re gonna break through... Our little Minx will startle you! Our music is Rapturous...
[ Rapture throws her head back, arms high in the air. ] There’ll be a Riot over uuuuus!
Sting, Sting, Stingers! Stingers! [ She finalizes the last call by placing her hands on her hips and standing with her feet apart. ] Stingers!

The Fourth Week
[A video plays]
The moment Annie walks in...I gasp every time! I'm sure all of you do as well. Rin, how do you feel, seeing how utterly Annie betrayed you? And then that trial!
[A few scenes play.]
Thrilling! The fake mystery box, the discovery of the secret passage, the gloves! Kanaya, do you have any final thoughts or regrets? And what about you, Annie? Do you wish things had turned out differently?
no subject
Annie, if you pity me, set me on fire, right now.

The Killer Clique
[A quick montage of Kanaya, Kaoru, Touko, and Sonia's executions plays onscreen.]
And now, because you asked for it, some exclusive never before seen footage of the first meeting of the deadliest clique in the game!
[The Hostess will play the following, up until Lithuania's 'post week one' thread.]
Incredible stuff. So, Kanaya, Kaoru, Sonia, Touko...tell us a little more about this! Were you flattered to be picked? Was it hard knowing the truth about Lithuania the whole time?

Of course when a note leading to my "secret" passage materialized I sank deep into despair And realized I was being used.

The Killer Clique II
[A few short scenes quickly play. The Hostess applauds politely when they conclude.]
That last one always gets to me. And, you know, no reunion of that clique could be complete without him! So please, everyone, welcome Spain!
[From backstage, Spain comes walking in, holding his giftbag. Like Annie before him, he is clearly dazed and sleepwalking, but he suddenly wakes up, just as the screen is replaying, without sound, the footage from some of the killer meetings.]
Spain, darling, we're so glad to have you! And I think your friends will be especially pleased to see you, won't they?

The Sixth Week
[A clip of the parlor discovery and the body discovery is played.]
And Spain did not let us down! From mystery boxes to hexes and chemicals to midnight seances to sexy strip-teases, this was one show to remember! And all in costumes!
[The video plays some examples - strip searches, the mystery box, magnesium poisoning and pomade hexes, and the case against Latvia.]
And when all was said and done, a happy ending, at least for fans of charismatic killer Spain!
[Latvia's final words are shown, and then his hanging.]
Gripping stuff, but not everyone was willing to forgive Spain right away, even those who gave a little more leeway to Annie.
[And a clip of Alice plays.]
Was there more to this than just anger? Did we see some passion blooming between these two? To answer our questions, please welcome Alice!
[As the Hostess has been talking, Alice will walk in, also in a sleepwalk state. She'll be awake in time to see Latvia's last words and the video of her reaction.]
Well, sweetheart, what's the truth? Can you forgive him after all? And what about Latvia and Clyde Barrow?
Oh, and audience, please do jump in! Were you fooled by Spain, too?
no subject
She blinks tightly, head reeling, when she opens her eyes again and notices where she is.]
What?
[And then the video of Latvia's final words and her reaction to Spain play out, but she's still in shock at all the people she sees. Mainly the dead ones.]
I-- what? What?! Hey, hang on -- what?!
[JUST WHEN SHE WAS SO SURE GHOSTS WEREN'T REAL FOR A SECOND TIME AND WHY IS DORIS ALIVE AND OH GOD WHAT ok ok Alice breathe Alice aaaaahhh.]
W-Well...um...ARGH you can't just people on the spot like this - where the hell am I even?! [BREATHE ALICE.] Ngh...I don't want to just talk in front of everyone about this!

The Fifth Week
[She will play a few clips of the body discovery - the leg in the library, the hand in the magic box, the hand in the fountain, and, of course, the kitchen. She'll also play the discovery of Michael Altman.]
With all of that fuss, the trial must have been equally alarming, no? Well...in fact, it seemed the murder was fairly simple, and understood from the outset. Did Touko even have a chance to get away with it?
[She'll play a few clips from the trial.]

Super Sleuths
[A few clips will play - Touko's bruise discovery, condemning Touko, smothering Poland's body, figuring out Beat's murder, accusing Kaoru, theorizing about the alibis, finding the secret passage, accusing Kanaya, theorizing about Minatsuki, and working out alibis.]
Always giving trials a dramatic flair, please welcome Miss Felicia Marlow!
[Like others before her, Felicia will walk in seemingly sleepwalking, but will wake up as she goes, holding the bag.]
Felicia, dearest, please tell us, how did you become such a skilled detective at your age?
no subject
[She's focused on looking around trying to get an idea of her surroundings instead of the screen.]
What is this?

...
Funny Moments
[Stiles, also, will step out from behind the curtain, seemingly asleep. He'll wake up once the video begins to play.
The Hostess will play a video of many clips from the game - Dave's comic, Gundam giving his alibi, Poland teasing Sonia, the Twilight discussion, Latvia knocking himself out with chloroform, Rapture wanting to see Latvia's underwear, Susan in her Halloween costume, Gundam running out of the Halloween dinner, Lithuania's stripping meltdown, Beat drinking from the chalice, everyone arguing over kissing Kaoru, and finally, a montage of all of Stiles' reactions to horrible gore in the game put to madcap music.]
So, Stiles? Which moments were your favorite?
no subject
[Well if you wanted more of Stiles' panicked flailing, just have him wake up in a room full of dead people and watch him go. He hasn't even noticed what's on screen yet.]
Oh god I'm dead. I'm dead I'm dead I died and now I have to spend the rest of eternity haunting this stupid place.

Introducing the Mastermind
You know him from bringing in the body, objecting to going off topic, and, of course, that fantastic meltdown!
[She'll play a few videos - a montage of all the times Lithuania brought in the body, that stripping thread, and finally, a few clips from the ninth week, although the last video is oddly disjointed. All mentions of the murder of the Hostess have been edited out, as well as any shots with Susan in them.]
Behind the scenes, he was even more of a terror, as our killer clique knows!
[A few more play, although the last video cuts up abruptly before Spain's last two comments.
The curtains in the back pull away, and Lithuania steps out, looking dazed. He'll immediately wake up, returning to moments after his death.]
Welcome, Lithuania! Well, everyone? Anything to say to the Mastermind? Lithuania, how about you? What made you do it?
no subject
Also, shouldn't you be dead, Doris?]
...You know why I did it.

But first, let's take a break!
[Free time talk goes now, although you still will be unable to talk about there being a Mastermind besides Lithuania. It is fine to say Lithuania is not the Mastermind, just not that there's someone else.]
no subject
Really though, Rapture's headed off to the projection room even though there is nothing projecting. Once she's there she looks down at the theatre before her, glancing over the few seats taken by fellow contestants. For a moment, she regards the scene below her with a smirk.
She lifts her arms and cackles, even if no one can hear her. ] The Stingers will always be on top! It is our destiny!

The Eighth Week
[A video plays.]
Tense stuff, and that's not even considering that tense body discovery scene.
[Another video]
And then the trial! The debate over the crossbow, the faked clock revelation, the letter!
[A few videos - the crossbow debate, the faked clock revelation, the letter.]
But everything really picked up towards the end! Sonia's defense, her confession, the drama!
[A few more clips play - the defense that culminated in a confession, and the post trial discussions.]
Tragic, but beautiful. We received a lot of letters about this one! So, let's hear from Sonia and Poland. Have you managed to repair your friendship? Any regrets, either of you?
Lithuania, this was a big shock to you, as well. How did you feel while all this was happening.
Everyone else, what did you think about Sonia's ignominious end?

Eighth Week Shocker!
[A video plays - this, followed by this.]
Incredible! And we certainly can't talk about this without welcoming another very special guest! I certainly hope he won't try anything again! Please welcome Mr. Gundam Tanaka!
[Gundam Tanaka walks out from backstage (along with the hamsters), all of them sleepwalking as the others did. However, as the video plays, he wakes up.]
Mr. Tanaka was thought dead, but it seems that quick thinking saved him!
[Two videos play - one of Stiles, Susan, and Annie acting to save him, the other of Gundam in the smoking room avoiding being poisoned.]
I think we can say it was a surprise to everyone, viewers and players alike. And for the first time, we have heartwarming, exclusive footage of the rescue!
[Another video plays. Gay. Followed by some brief clips from his return. The Hostess pretends to wipe a tear from her eye, although she's not actually crying.]
Truly touching. Well, Mr. Tanaka, what do you think? Do you have any regrets for your actions? Do you have anything to say?
Miss Nevermind, you as well - were you touched by the attempt to rescue you? Viewers say, they found it very dashing!
Stiles, how about you? I think everyone was surprised to see you cry. Deep down, you're really a bigger softie than we imagined, aren't you?
no subject
Ah...I do regret this...but I must thank my friends...
[He turns a little red at the statement, and then recovers and starts to actually look around and understand where he is.]
Gah! Have I at last been swallowed into the bowels of hell?

Cutest Animal Moments
[A video plays, a montage of various clips of the animals - Ruta the puppy, Pooka the dog, the Four Dark Gods, Lithium the horse, Xiao Mei the panda, Sanrai the dove, and Bernkastel the cat. The clips include a few specific moments - Anastasia and Pooka, Gundam showing off the hamsters to Sonia, Kanaya and Kaoru, and Susan, being introduced to Xiao Mei, Bern turning into a cat at trial, feeding pandas wine, billiards room hamster show, Xiao Mei and Sun-D communicating?, hamsters giving Sonia flowers, Lithium and Poland, Gundam and Sonia bringing Lithium downstairs, Gundam feeding Pooka, Rapture and Lithium, Kaoru and Lithium, and Lithuania and Ruta, and Pooka, Xiao Mei, and the hamsters in their Halloween costumes.]
How precious! What were your favorite cute animal moments?

H...hah...when the creatures were given Halloween costumes...to me, that was the cutest...

The Seventh Week
Of course, we can't talk about this surprising week without a special guest. Please welcome May Chang!
[May and Xiao Mei enter, in a daze, but will wake up in time to hear the Hostess' next words.]
Wonderful to see you, May, and we'll be excited to hear all of your thoughts about this trial. But first, some exclusive never-before-seen footage!
[A video plays, followed by this.]
Wow! No wonder the trial led to such confusion, including multiple confessions!
[She plays a series of videos - May's confession, Gundam's confession about the gun, Stiles accusing Gundam and his subsequent confession, Sonia calling the confession into question, and May confessing again, followed by this rant.]
And all on the first day! This was certainly the most emotional trial we've had, wasn't it? Of course, everything changed with another discovery.
[She plays the investigation of the chapel and passageway, the discovery of poison, Gundam's explanation of what really happened, and a pointed question by Poland, culminating in another discovery.]
I don't think anyone saw this coming! But the drama wasn't finished.
[Kaoru's parting words are shown.]
Beat, May, how do you feel about Kaoru? Are you willing to forgive him, or still angry? Gundam, what about you? And tell us, why did you do it? Some viewers have suggested that this and your week eight actions were staged for sympathy, or else all of this would be pretty concerning!

That bastard... you think I could ever forgive him?! Hell no!

The Ninth Week
[A strange video plays. It appears to be a video, shot in darkness, of someone who appears to be Lithuania creeping into one of the bedrooms at night. He grasps the wrist of a sleeping woman who appears to be Susan. Both of them at least are dressed and styled like Lithuania and Susan, but it's too dark to clearly make out their faces. He slides the combination on the bracelet, and then slips out the door. Seconds later, the bracelet explodes.]
How very tragic. Susan was one of the fan favorite players this game.
[The video then shifts to a group of people, all with their backs to the camera but looking like the living players, coming upon the body of the woman who appeared to be Susan.]
And that exciting trial! When Lithuania was revealed as the Mastermind...none of us could believe what we were watching!
[The video shifts to an even choppier video. Scenes from the trial play, but cut and edited oddly so that Susan, the Hostess' body, or mentions of either do not appear.]
Lithuania's execution, on the other hand, was the subject of controversy. Some opined that simply implanting a bomb in his own heart was unfair; Lithuania should have underwent an execution like all the others. Well, we're in luck! We've prepared a special execution for him!
But first, let me introduce our special guest, the victim, Susan Sto Helit!
[Susan, dazed, walks in. She wakes up as the video of the trial ends.]
Susan, how did it feel being Lithuania's victim? Were you sorry not to make it to the end, or simply glad Lithuania was caught?
[For the purposes of this thread, explaining what really happened week nine will be 'off topic,' though characters are free to protest.]
no subject
That's not--Miss Susan is fine! It was... [Trailing off... But now he's back and he's angry.]

Break
All of this will take place after the break.
[Free time talk goes now, although you still will be unable to talk about there being a Mastermind besides Lithuania. It is fine to say Lithuania is not the Mastermind, just not that there's someone else.]
no subject
I've had it with these breaks. [she's still not moving away.]
