murder manor - reunion

[You are in a darkened theater.
In front of you is an enormous cinema screen. On it plays video of the manor, accompanied by appropriate sound effects and background instrumentals when fitting. The seat you're sitting on is large and plush, and while there's many of them, there's enough room in the theatre for you to fully recline the seat into a comfortable bed if you wish.
Follow the stairs up and you'll reach what should be the projection room. There are no projectors in here, however; it is simply a large and well-lit room above the main seating area, and a good place to hang out with your fellow eliminated contestants if shouting at each other across the aisles proves too much to handle.
If you leave the theatre through the door in the back, you'll find yourself in a hall. On one end is a concession stand. It's stocked with standard movie snacks - popcorn, candy and the like - but if you're feeling the urge for something else, you'll be able to find it stocked somewhere in the back. On the other end is a table with thirty wrapped bags and a placard reading 'A star for our stars! Please accept these lovely giftbags as a token of appreciation for your hard work, sponsored by [illegible smudge]'. Each bag has a tag bearing the name of someone in the mansion; you will only be able to open the bag with your name on it. As soon as you open it, any memories that have been taken from you, including those of the other people in the mansion that you may have forgotten, will be returned in their entirety. Within the bag are also objects from your home that you may want for your stay here, though you will find no weapons.
There are no other doors in the hall save for the one leading back into the theatre room. There are also no windows; it is impossible to tell where you are and what is going on in the outside world. Any attempts to break out will fail. So in the meantime, why not sit back and enjoy the show?]
Murder Manor reunion week has begun! The next week will take place outside the game (and will not be remembered by the living characters). Once the week is over, the living characters will be right back where they left off, Sunday night in the manor.
All the dead characters and eventually all living characters will participate in this week, through Belarus and Yuzu will just be empty shells who cannot interact with the others. Dead characters (except Lithuania, who never arrived) will all be in the theater from the beginning, whereas living characters will only be brought in once specifically introduced, and will be given their memories at that time.
During the times when Doris is taking questions, characters will not be able to talk about things that are 'off topic.' They can talk and reunite with one another, but need to focus on things relevant to that week or topic of discussion. Any time they get off topic, they will find themselves stuck trying to make the words come out of their mouth and will simply trail off. There will be breaks where characters can talk without this restriction, but the same will happen to anyone who, at any time, starts trying to talk about anything to do with there being a Mastermind or player to benefit from the game or planted player who isn't Lithuania. Codes and other attempts to get around this rule will still result in trailing off.

[He says it quietly. It takes him a moment to come to grips with everything, but once he does, he places his arm back around her. He looks a little sad, but serious.]
The fates act against us. But...I do not regret that time, nor do I regret this one. Whatever the cost, what I gained...I could not have regrets.

[ She looks pained. ]
But I... I could not do that here. Instead, I failed completely. I gave up...

[He can't speak to what was going through her mind, so he can't say she's wrong. But it didn't feel like that to him. He clasps her hand.]
You...though you accepted your death, you chose to do it on your own terms. It was a brave thing, not worthy of condemnation.
But even so...to say you failed completely. We are here, are we not? This game is not yet finished, and I am still playing, so do not dare call our efforts failure so prematurely.

[ She looks upset, but she's not sure if it's for the game or for herself. She puts her arms around his middle and bows her head against his chest. ]

[He sighs and puts his arms around her back, resting his head on the top of hers.]
It was a cruel deception. But do not dare say you impeded us. After all...it was because of you we knew for truth that the only one who would act would be the Mastermind...that the others would be worthy of our trust. Nothing would be possible if not for that truth.

[ It's strange how even when no one else's words seem to make sense and none can convince her, his words stand out so boldly. Perhaps it's because a part of her has always been seeking that kind of worldview... Something to tell her that it's alright to change, but it's also alright to accept things as they are... as long as the decision is yours. ]
Still, I... I do not want to go back to that island. [ She trembles slightly. ] Whether it is here... or there... there isn't a way that I can be with you, is there...

[He doesn't know what it means. He went to his death, but he's here, and he isn't dead. The same is true of her, now. And yet...]
We are both here now. What the future holds is more than anyone can assure. As long as our hearts are still beating, doesn't hope for the future still exist?

[ She manages a small smile. ]
And even if it does not last... I am so happy to be able to talk with you now.

[He feels like he should probably be more emotional, like everything he's been through is hovering at the edge of his consciousness, ready for him to feel it. But instead, he just feels how he generally does when she's talking to him and complimenting him, flustered but happy.]

And, okay, so she avoided any kind of goodbye kiss at her trial because she just hadn't had the emotional fortitude, but there's no problem like that right now. She reaches up and pulls him down to kiss him. Sorry it's in front of everyone. Later she will bemoan her eligibility for marriage. ]

I am so glad my prince returned.
no subject
He wants to point out he is not a prince but an ascendant king. But he does not. He is so suave right now.]
This "show" is absurdity I cannot condone! But I am glad to know that you are here...

Can we make a promise?

no subject
Yes, if you want.

[Has no idea what he's agreeing to or what this means. But whatever, he doesn't care, he'll do it. Becoming her king sounds fine.]

We shall raise the strongest makango anyone has ever seen! And the ceremony will last for weeks!
no subject
Hahaha...it will be unstoppable.

Once we are married... Yes, it shall be wonderful recompense for what we have endured.
no subject
Very well! Cham-P, prepare me for the ritual!
[He extends his unbandaged hand and allows Cham-P to bite down hard enough to draw blood.]
no subject
Married married married- oh wait she needs to have her blood drawn right. She will hold her hand out for the requisite hamster bite. ]
