Latvia → Monday → Various
[In the interest of keeping his mind busy Latvia is sat at the desk in the study with a game of solitaire laid out in front of him. The cards had been nabbed from the billiards room and he made absolute sure that he was seen the way there and back.
While the game mostly held his attention it would occasionally drift off to other things. The things he had said and the things that were said to him, that if he had made a different choice the situation might be different now... With a sigh he looked up at the other in the room and then back to his game]
How do you keep your mind off things here? I can't stop thinking about everything that's happened. It's driving me crazy...
Ruby Wing Bathroom → 9pm
[The door isn't quite closed, but it is pulled to. Anyone with a sensitive nose might notice a slight, sweet odor which becomes a little more potent upon entering the room. In the sink there's a bottle of chloroform, overturned and seeping into the drain. It seems far too careless to be deliberately discarded as part of a murder plot, but it was clearly being poured away at the time.
Oh yeah, and Latvia's passed out on the floor. Careful with that]

I sing. In my head.
no subject
[Even if it's just in her head, she didn't strike him as the singing type]
What kinds of songs do you know?

[pageflap]

I really love listening to folk songs too, or at least I used to. You're not really allowed to sing them these days.
But I still sing them to myself sometimes.
no subject
Do your people no longer sing?
no subject
It's been a long time since I've heard them in public. I really miss those days though...
But you know! North of me there's a country called Estonia, he's a really good singer. They even used it to start a revolution.
[There's a slight sparkle in his eyes as he remembers it but it seems to grow dull as he continues]
Of course the people from my home followed suit but... they weren't as lucky. Estonia managed to get out and make his own way, I couldn't...

ruby wing bathroom
IS THIS FOR REAL
The smell is noticeable before she even got close to the bathroom. Frowning lightly in immediate recognition, she quickly pulls her shirt up around her nose after taking a deep breath away to hold before stepping in to the Ruby wing bathroom.
...
After checking the pulse to make sure that YES, he's alive, and noticing the bottle open and endlessly pouring out, it's... not hard, to put 1+1 together. IN THAT CASE, she'll be sealing the chloroform bottle first and let it settle on the sink before dragging Latvia's body out with some effort. Doesn't need to be far; she'll be propping his body sitting up against the wall next to the bathroom, before drawing a symbol in the air with her finger.]
Hagalaz!
[the glowing rune remains in the air as a small breeze picks up, to air both the bathroom and the corridor. That done, she'll crouch next to the poor nation and try calling him out first.]
Latvia!
[not too loud because it IS getting late and some of their wingmates may be sleeping... BUT DEAR GOD IS THIS GUY CARELESS...]
no subject
He'll awake in around an hour, but until then any vocalizations or movements are entirely involuntary]

Sigh. She did try - but above that, she knew very well this was useless, didn't she? Chloroform doesn't just magically wear off. He's probably going to be out of it for a while...
Well then, what are her options now. She could either search Latvia's body for his keys, gain access to his room, and lay him there, or leave his things undisturbed and drag the poor sod into hers instead. He'd be in a lady's room, sure, but then she could claim to not have touched his things. His room IS much closer, on the other hand. What to do...
...
It'll do the guy some good, to "socialize" a little. She's got no plans for the rest of the night anyway, she can take her time.
It is so that after briefly stepping into the bathroom once more to pocket his now closed and filled bottle of chloroform that she will proceed to attempt carrying Latvia's body to her own room, in #1. Thankfully he's not too huge, and it's not like he'd notice if some dragging on floor is involved, right...]
2/2
she'll be taking him to her room and dump him on her bed. Why not the chair in the sitting area? Because she's using it. The chloroform bottle of his would be on the nightstand, he can come around whenever he likes. Touko'll be spending that time by her desk working on something, no big deal.]
no subject
Letting his head fall to the side he sees Touko at the desk. Latvia can't quite recognize her through the dizziness. There is a vague sense of alert to his voice, but it's still very strained]
Hey...
How... How'd I get here?
no subject
...
Someone's a little artistic!
Bur yes, hearing him stir, she stops on what she's working on by her desk to turn around.]
Thank goodness, you're finally awake. How are you feeling?
[The light's on by her corner. There seems to be some other light source on the wall, coming from a symbol, if closer examination is given.
...Also not ignoring his question on purpose! Just. One thing at a time...]

Head hurts...
[And his throat feels raw and he feels ill and he can't seem to form many coherent thoughts which says nothing about how heavy his body feels, but it's a start]

You don't seem to have any trouble sleeping, do you Mr. Spain? I can't sleep easily at all...

... blankets...
( He was going to say things like being safe and sound but HAHAHA way to drop the ball, Spain. )

[Probably one of the few benefits of being here]
I think it's just difficult to focus on the good things when we're stuck in this kind of situation...

study;
I have found that it is soothing to continue with old hobbies, if any are available to you here. Poetry, for example... [a nod toward the paper on the desk.]
no subject
[He'd been tryin to write it up in his room but so far it seemed like none of the words would come out quite right]
I guess I can keep reading but it's hard to stay focused.
no subject
I have found some nice stationary, if you would like to borrow any. I have personally found it a little easier to focus on writing rather than reading.
no subject
Mostly I've been writing in one of the blank diaries I found in the study. Do you think using a different stationary might help?
no subject
[a thoughtful look follows that, and then a nod.] It may. I have found that the look of the paper I write on affects the topics at times, and it may be similar for others. Would you like me to fetch some?
