1:30PM — COURTYARD
[ As per usual, Rapture is stretched out on a towel and sunbathing in her place by the courtyard looking awfully comfortable with one arm tucked behind her head and the other draped across her stomach. ]

6:00PM — MUSIC ROOM
[ After eating dinner, Rapture heads to the music room as if to search for something. With a sigh, she sits down at the piano bench but doesn't make a move to play it. Instead, she plays out a beat with her hands on her lap. It's one of the first songs The Stingers ever created and played together. ]

And if luck goes your way, you may outlast them in this hard, hard life!

[ Rapture lifts her hands up to play her guitar solo, but freezes not remembering how. She stops after the first chorus and sighs, slumping forward onto the piano. ]

It's not the same without Riot!

10:45PM — PARLOR
[ Decidedly, when everyone is mostly asleep and will not accuse her of ridiculous things like knocking someone out in the middle of the mansion, she tests out her chloroform bottle. Opening one of the windows, she begins to pour it out and watch it spill onto the dark ground below. Tentatively, she pulls it back, feeling the unchanged weight of the bottle in her hands. ]

Woah. [ She sounds fascinated at this prospect as if it is one of Techrat's neat little inventions. Rapture wouldn't put it past him to create a self-filling chloroform bottle. ] Incredible!

Music Room

[balzams]

[If you follow a trail of song in this house it normally leads to Rapture. Latvia had wanted to talk to her earlier about things but he hadn't managed to catch her. Now that he was here though, he couldn't help but feel a little sympathetic. This was probably the first time he'd seen an attitude from her that wasn't flippantly self-serving]

Was Riot one of your band mates?

... You were in a band, weren't you?

[throe]

[ She sighs, her voice distant as she raises her head, but doesn't look at him. It's as if she's in some far off world. ]

He is my bandmate and I am in a band.

[balzams]

S-sorry, I didn't meant to imply it like that.

Um... But is something wrong? You don't seem quite yourself.

[throe]

Because Riot isn't here! I'm nothing without him. We just... belong together. Nothing is right when he isn't around.

[balzams]

... Is he your lover?

[That's sure what it sounds like to him]

[throe]

No.

[ She doesn't sound annoyed when she says it like she's done before to two other people. ]

Riot and I aren't bonded by love, we're bonded by creativity. He's everything that I look for when I need inspiration, he's not mundane like all the others. The Stingers are a perfect match for a reason.

[balzams]

Sorry, maybe that was a little presumptuous...

I guess it must be hard though, when music is so important in your life. But I think you can find inspiration in yourself too, it's wherever you find it.

There are lots of people that find inspiration even out of terrible things like this.

[throe]

You don't understand. Riot isn't just an inspiration, he's the inspiration! He's why I got into music in the first place.

Three months being in the Misfits didn't change that and neither will being here. [ She pauses with a sigh, then crosses her arms. ] But don't get me wrong, being here is also the most fun I've had in awhile. More than when we arrived to America even. I just wish Riot and Minx were here to enjoy it with me.

[reunified]

[ Ah... That woman again. Phoebe something. The one who read his palm a few days ago. Altman adjusts his course slightly to take him closer, hands in his pockets. ]

...You're out here a lot.

[ Admittedly not the best conversation opener. ]

[throe]

I am.

[ She doesn't turn to address him, remaining unnervingly still. ]

Sun meditation is important, it helps with energy.

[reunified]

Meditation? That's what you're doing?

[ Kind of fits with the whole palm-reading thing, he supposes. ]

[throe]

Mm. Both the sun and moon give off energy that the mundane do not realize. They walk about their days and nights, not realizing what sort of potential it holds.

[ She turns to look at him, her tone completely serious in her next statement. ]

Why do you think werewolves turn on full moons?

[reunified]

Ah.

[ Yeah that's totally over his unbelieving head, but he still nods.

The question makes him pause, looking thoughtful, before he answers. ]

I'd think it would have something to do with aliens.

[throe]

Aliens? [ She calmly raises herself up on her elbows. Her gaze is still obscured by her sunglasses. ] How do you figure?

[reunified]

The sun and moon emit and reflect solar radiation and light, right? A full moon is just a night where the sunlight is reflected off the moon without the earth obscuring it. Seems like all of that is taking place in space, then reaching us.

[ He pauses, then shrugs slightly. ]

Besides, all the weird unexplainable stuff I know of has turned out to be extraterrestrial something or other.

[throe]

[ Rapture pulls herself into a sitting position, leaning on her hands behind her. ]

I've never met a scientist that believes in aliens before! [ She doesn't mean it with patronization, it's very true... then again, she doesn't run into many scientists in her profession. She's never bothered to ask Minx's opinion on it and she doesn't care at all about Techrat. ] Does that mean you've found evidence?

Music Room

[pasodoble]

( Being the cultured nation he is, it's only natural Spain would end up in the music room at some point. He's surprised to see someone there (he hadn't heard anyone really). )

But what about "The Stingers?"

( Spain is so confused. )

[throe]

[ She sighs, not even pulling herself up from her slumping position. ]

Riot is The Stingers. He's the heart and soul. Minx is just the body and I'm the mind, we're incomplete without him.

[pasodoble]

( Blink, blink. Putting two and two together... )

I get it! You're in love!

( Someone punch him. )

[throe]

[ These people sure don't understand creativity... can she blame them with the way they act toward the "murders" and trials? ]

I love him, but I'm not in love with him. He's a source of inspiration for me. Everything I create... I create with him in mind!

[pasodoble]

( Spain's just a terrible Romantic at heart. Literally and figuratively. )

... Like... a muse! ( Oh, no, he gets it now. ) So does that mean all of the songs you've been singing here are...?

( Inspired by him? )

[throe]

Exactly. He's the sole reason why I took up music in the first place. Meeting him in Germany was fate... like a sign from the divine spirits that I knew I had to follow.

We all take turns doing the songwriting. One of us will do the composition, the other the lyrics, but when it all comes together... [ She dreamily stares off somewhere else. ] It's Riot's charisma that makes it whole.

[pasodoble]

Like one instrument. ( Nodding, nodding, he understands completely. ) Are you... the lead singer normally?

[throe]

No, that's mostly Riot. Minx and I do back up for him and I've sung lead once or twice, but nothing can compare to his voice. It always makes the crowd go insane.
