[You wake in an unfamiliar bedroom, with no memory of how you came to be there and a sensation that something you once had is gone. The room you're in is luxurious and comfortable, but there is a musty feeling of disuse and decay in the air. Still, you've provided with new wardrobe perfectly tailored for you, a key ring that will unlock your bedroom door, so surely you're welcome to explore the manor?

Have a look around and make yourselves at home. You'll soon find you're not alone, but if any among you knows the secrets of this place, they aren't speaking.]

[Gundam Tanaka can be found, shortly after waking and getting a sense of his own room, cautiously making his way out. He's already made use of his wardrobe, dressed in a long dark formal coat with a scarf tucked into his collar that makes him reasonably blend in, but he's observing his surroundings with a suspicious expression.]

[She hadn't expected to see someone else on this floor. Kanaya regards the young man very suspiciously indeed - she's not sure whether to confront him outright as her kidnapper, considering his expression makes him look just as likely to be another kidnappee. From a reasonable distance, too far to touch but not much further:]

Susan Sto Helit | Courtyard | 10:00AM

[Susan Sto Helit awakes from a deep sleep.

...Given that she doesn't particularly need much sleep, that in itself is already bizarre. As for the rest, the surroundings are unfamiliar, the air disagreeable, her dress stiff and unnatural. She is quite certain she has never worn a dressing gown in her life, let alone one with embroidered black and white filigree. Further inspection quickly reveals that the rest of the clothing provided is similarly ostentatious, an inconvenience to which Susan reacts with a small frown.]

I suppose wearing the bedsheet is out of the question.

[Her final choice of wardrobe is of little consequence, given that she immediately drapes a heavy black, fur-trim cloak over everything. Feeling fully prepared for sudden freak indoor blizzards or possibly very dull daggers cast in her general direction, Susan pushes open the door of the room and exits calmly. When neither predicted calamity rears its head, she makes her way out of the sleeping quarters and towards the main hall.

Ten minutes of brisk paced wandering later, she has had quite enough of overdecoration and themed rooms that don't seem to match any of the other rooms. The nearest exit she finds is in the ballroom, opening up onto a pleasant courtyard, where at least, she feels, she can breathe. Susan seats herself on a bench and slowly exhales.]

If you're listening, Grandfather, I'd like to mention once more for the record that I'd appreciate an explanation of the absurd events you need me to meddle with before you drop me into them. It's a matter of courtesy, you understand. ...Courtesy and keeping a migraine remedy at hand.

[Gundam, meanwhile, has been exploring from the front, and steps around the corner cautiously. He's the type of person to move quietly, and when he notices another person in the vicinity he stops and waits. He's not exactly subtle about it, looking like a foreboding column of dark fabric and also looking like he's trying to look like a foreboding column of dark fabric.]

Huh, huh, huh...you speak as though you expect an answer. I wonder...with whom, or what do you commune?

Kanaya Maryam // study \\ 10 AM

[At 8 AM Kanaya woke up in her room of the Sapphire wing and spent about an hour exploring before departing, by which time she had donned a cloche hat (holes for her horns and a small Virgo symbol printed on the band - that was eerie) and sleeveless day dress. The keyring resides on her wrist like a bracelet.

Her explorations of the drawing room, the smoking room (or the locked door leading there anyway), the music room, and the billiards room are all cursory. By 9:30 AM she has the choice of going up or down the stairs. She chooses up. There's a library, of course, extremely human - she familiarizes herself with the shelves' themes for a little while.

The study is where she settles long enough to be reliably found... because one of the romance novels catches her eye and she might as well sit down in one of the comfortable chairs to read it. A passer-by with good timing might even hear her gasp something to herself about the proceedings therein, for example:]

[ Rapture nearly trips over her own two feet when she sees Kanaya. Trying not to bring too much attention to herself, she peeks from behind the doorframe to look at the "creature" innocently sitting amongst the quiet study. She slips only inches further down hallway with her back against the wall.

This was great! Who knew the Misfits had it in them to create such an amazing elaboration of events? Sure, the layout isn't what she remembers from her stay... but they could have been in an entirely different wing. The costume was... amazingly crafted — the smooth curve of the horns, the ghost-like skin — that Rapture is both fascinated by the craftwork and jealous that she hasn't found someone with that sort of skillset herself. Imagine the shows they could throw... ]

This'll be perfect. [ She thinks to herself with a smile. Maybe she can convince whoever designed that costume to be done with the Misfits...? Rapture takes a few more steps back, straightens her posture, and begins walking toward the study as if it was her very first intention. ]

Oh! [ She smiles sweetly as she enters the room and abruptly stops in place. ] I didn't realize anyone would be here. I was just coming in to get a book.

Sonia Nevermind - Conservatory - 9:30 AM

[ The young princess seems to be in high spirits. Certainly this wasn't the dorm she envisioned when she set off to begin her year at Hope's Peak Academy, but it was charming nonetheless. There was a troubling gap in her memory, but she attributed it to jet lag and exhaustion. The clothes seemed rather strange to her, but she donned a simple blouse and skirt and went off to explore.

It occurred to her that this place did not seem like a school dormitory after all. It was actually quite like one of the many homes her family owned. There was nothing indicating that this was a place where students lived. The lovely conservatory afforded a view of an outside that did not seem familiar at all to her. ]

Hmm...

[Kanaya drifts in here and her eyes widen with admiration. Sunlight! Plants! Hella amazing!]

Well, this is the loveliest room in here by far...

[She modestly covers her mouth when she realizes she's not alone in here. The keys on the ring around her wrist jangle with the motion.]

Ah, hello...

Rin Kagamine | Music Room | 10 AM

[Waking up in a new house with no memory whatsoever of how she got there and clothes that seem more suited to a roaring 20's costume party than actual life? ... Welp, must be a gig! She'll just get dressed, pick up her laptop and wander over to the music room, and then stay there as though waiting for someone to arrive. She can be caught either putzing around with computer games or absently playing the piano. When someone comes in though, she'll look up from what she's doing and cheerfully ask,]

Hello! Are you the Master? ♪ [in a voice that sounds musical and synthesized, to boot.]

[The lovely music lures her back into the room after passing it over, the first time, for lack of musical talent herself - what a stark contrast with the faintly dusky atmosphere of this strangely luxurious hive.

Kanaya is somewhat bemused at the girl's question, and shakes her head as she moves into the room to a spot near a window.]

Sorry to tell you I'm nothing of the kind.

Kaoru Nagumo - emerald wing - 9am/drawing room - 3pm

Um— Excuse me...

[it appears, my good sir or madam, that the stranger speaking up is calling out for you! whether you're just passing through on an early morning exploration or leaving the Emerald wing for the first time, Kaoru will be trying to catch your attention with that and a quick but politely raised hand.]

[after spending most of the day looking around and becoming more familiar with the setting, Kaoru has wandered into the drawing room and can be found peering at the small tea spread with some amount of trepidation. no wonder, really. hungry as a person might become, in a situation like this, exercising caution is a natural response - especially since no tea servers had been spotted. in fact, it appears that there hasn't been anyone else around outside of the few similarly confused folks Kaoru had run into.

...the hunger is starting to get a little irritating to deal with, though, and that tray of sandwiches looks quite tempting.]

[The exits of the Emerald and Sapphire wings are adjacent - thus it is that right as Kanaya departs the sapphire wing, she sees Kaoru trying to get her attention. Already she flashes a little harder at the provocation.]

...yes? [She's very confused, unsure what to make of this new presence.]

Anastasia Romanov | Foyer | 9 AM

[ Anya doesn't like what she finds upon waking and exploring her immediate surroundings. The unfamiliar room and its contents are one thing, but the feeling that comes over her when she picks up the music box on her bedside table is one she knows — and had hoped never to know again. She puts on a yellow dress and a simple pair of boots, twists her hair up into a messy bun and stares at herself in the mirror for a long time before heading out.

She's glad, at least, to have the company of a familiar face. The little dog stays close at her heels as she cautiously descends the staircase into the foyer, looking around with hesitation. She peeks into the adjacent parlor and dining room, but doesn't enter, lingering in the foyer, wandering from statue to statue and frowning up at them.

If she catches sight of someone, she'll waste no time in getting their attention, waving her arms and calling out. ]

Hey. Hey, you!

[He won't be down in the vicinity until a few minutes later, but once he does, she'll successfully manage to attract his attention.

Or, actually, he notices the little dog, and then notices her as an after thought. But he will come down the stairs either way.]

What manner of business do you have with me, then?

May Chang | Amethyst Wing 9AM/ Library 11 AM

[There's a young girl storming out of her room, an equally irate panda on her shoulder. May's managed to don a pink dress, but she doesn't look too happy about it.]

What kind of foul villain kidnaps a young maiden and then steals her clothes?! Coward! Fiend! Come out and face me!

[After exploring the grounds for a while, May's decided that she needs to understand more about the place she's trapped in. She can be found in the library with a large stack of books in front of her - further examination reveals that most of them seem to be scientific in nature. A tiny panda peers at the text with her, though whether it can actually understand it is anyone's guess.]

The science of this country is strange...why are there no mentions of alchemy or alkahestry?

[--Well, that's a term she hasn't heard since her college days. Having never taken extensive interest in it herself and that not being her main field of study, 'alchemy' and 'alkahestry' are nevertheless familiar terms linked to thaumaturgy. They're also not the sort of thing you'd hear from the mouth of anyone, and a girl who looks so young, at that! Curious, Touko'll be peering over.]

Probably because it's not common here, I would guess. Do you practice those, miss?

[Ruby.

...She can't quite help the sneer of derision, all things considered. Red again, huh? Not that the context is any offensive (or lack of, really), but knowing her history with that color and how this wing is named after a jewel, the existence of a sapphire wing is likely - something she'll no doubt confirm for herself momentarily.

But eh, no matter. She can't complain about the comfort, having already slipped on a clean white blouse, silk black pants, and her orange necklace just because. This is just a cursory sweep, though; she'll need to go back to her room after to pick up her cigarettes. She isn't going anywhere without those, that's for sure.

...Oh, but she'll turn around and happily wave if she notices anyone else in the wing staring her way, though. They're alive and this is a pretty quaint but nice place, right? So what's to worry about?

THE REASON WHY anyone who DOES walk out on her will receive the following peppy greeting as she gives them a small wave:]

2pm ; Second floor ; Outside Smoking Room

[After a casual sweep of the whole place and peeking her head in practically all the rooms, she returns here, one hand idly cupping her chin as she gives the doorknob another futile spin. She already passed by here earlier, just opting to try again after she's taken a better look around the whole manor. Nice place, truly! As someone with architectural plan drafting experience, the structure here really isn't too shabby. She does feel drawn to this room for some reason, or maybe it's simply the byproduct of curiosity, given that the door stays firmly in place no different than the first time she wandered by a few hours earlier?

She'll still casually murmur to herself though, not too bothered if anyone catches her talking to herself.]

Hmm, wonder why this one's still locked... Although a manor like this wouldn't be fun without a few surprises, I suppose!

Was the whole bit about being kidnapped and unclothed not surprising enough already?

[By afternoon, Susan's veritable font of patience (about as deep as an inkwell) has run dry. Just about as dry as her wit. Her tone is almost offensive.]

Perhaps we'll be waking up in there next. In a pit of tigers or pygmies or dead bodies.

clyde barrow - bar - 11 am

[ He wakes up with a tune in his head. It's the kind of tune that you just can't get out, no matter how much you try and force something else in its place. It's irritating, enough for Clyde to get wound up, so after pacing around the Emerald Wing expecting someone to wander in and explain how he got there, he can't stand it anymore.

The mansion itself doesn't strike him as terribly odd. He's been a "guest" of homes like it before, though admittedly, not ones as nice as this. This was the kind of mansion you find up North, and the kind he could only dream of stealing from, for now. He thought that there'd be more of a transition between small heists on plantations to the bigger ones like this, but, well... Clyde Barrow wasn't the sort of man to complain about opportunity when it's presented before him.

It's in his wandering the mansion (still humming a tune) that he makes it to the bar. That draws an impressed whistle from him, and he looks at the selection with wide eyes. ]

...Well, shit.

[ The Southern twang of his voice comes out more strongly in his surprise, though even when he steps inside and recomposes himself, it doesn't go away completely. ]

This ain't exactly some plantation owner's stash of moonshine. [ Another impressed whistle ] Woke up somewhere important, that's for sure. This kind of booze doesn't come cheap.

[There's a gasp of excitement from the entrance and Latvia stands half hidden behind the doorway, peering in. He had been exploring the manor and found himself in the ballroom only to be lured here by the vocalization of the word 'booze'.

At the end of the day, he wasn't alone and still hiding behind the door he tries to get Clyde's attention]

Um... excuse me.

Do you happen to know where I am?

Felicia Marlow ☩ Noon ☩ Foyer

(And somewhere in the manor, sleeping through a morning of confusion and loss, a girl wakes. The girl, Felicia Marlow, has never been much for mornings, especially not in a bed far more comfortable than any she's ever known. But wake she does around midmorning, as the comfort of sleep gives way to concern.

To her credit, even half asleep, Marlow understands her situation immediately. This is not her bed. This is not her room. Oh, and her dad will never let her live it down if that damn crew tried to kidnap her again. But somehow, just thinking about the Patricks makes her head spin. There's something missing, and she's going to find out what.

First things first when she wakes up, she makes note of everything in her room. Well, okay, after she takes time to look horrified at the frilly nightie they've put her in. Someone is going to pay for this. Looking through her wardrobe, she can't find anything practical, but she's also not as disappointed as she is about the nightie. Marlow's never been interested in fashion, and clothes always seemed pretty pointless, but there's something about this style that calls to her. She picks out a lacy black dress, a satiny cloche hat, gloves and a pair of sensible boots. At least if she's going to solve a mystery in a stranger's wardrobe, she'll do it in style. She even takes a small purse with her. The better to carry a notebook, pen, and the knife in.

Finally, with that done, Marlow steps outside and descends down into the foyer.)

Does anyone know where a girl can get breakfast around here?

[ There's a girl in a plain black dress sitting around in the foyer with a restless look on her face. She casts the stranger a sideways look, then stares away again. ]

Shit. I'm wondering, too.

[Having thoroughly explored every room he could access inside the mansion, Stiles has now made his way outside. The first thing he does is head to the gates, reaching out towards the bars and then jerking his hand back with a hiss as it shocks him.]

...okaaaaaay, we have now officially gone from weird to crazy horror flick where there's probably a serial killer waiting to tear us all into bits during the night. Again.

[He rubs the back of his head, muttering nervously to himself.]

I mean granted, freaky 1920's mansion doesn't exactly give off the whole supernatural painful death vibe, so maybe things won't be that bad? Maybe we're just in some sort of reenactment of The Great Gatsby. Nothing horrible happens in that book, right? No murders, just parties? Why didn't I finish that book when I had the chance?

[ Yeah, don't look at her. Minatsuki hasn't been to school since seventh grade and probably has never heard of The Great Gatsby anyway. ]

Okay. Let me just tell ya: if you start fuckin' freaking out all over the place now, it's gonna take a bite out of your ass later.

Alice | Outside the smoking room | 12pm

[By now Alice has taken the time to go through any room she could find accessible and done sweeps of the area. Nothing unusual yet. It was absolutely strange. How was she separated from all the others? Last thing she remembers was fighting Sigma and then falling unconscious and now she's in a mansion? A far cry from a warehouse for certain and without a clue as to why.

Once she gets to the smoking room however she's stopped by a surprise. The door is locked. And of course that doesn't satisfy her at all. Locked doors mean locked secrets. So she begins rustling and pushing against the door to get it to open, to no avail. She grits her teeth in anger and starts to look around to see if she can get help. Luckily someone is nearby and that someone is your character!]

Hey you, I could use a little help here.

[Bernkastel looks over, the tip of her cat tail twitching just once. Her face holds no expression, though she stops moving and turns toward the woman and glances at the door she was trying to open.]

It may be simpler to find a key.

[...this is a dream, right? This is a really weird dream... I mean, sure, the clothes are nice and the decor is..... okay but.

Seriously subconscious, what the hell?]

[ Rapture stands at the top of the stairs as she overlooks the vastness of the foyer before her. To her, waking up in a mysterious mansion with no recollection of how she arrived there leaves her feeling elated! Surely, Eric Raymond isn't behind this — he's not clever enough, that's for sure — and Jerrica and her Holograms were far too nice to create such an elaboration.

Had Pizzazz finally gotten over her pathetic fawning for Riot and used her mansion as a way to spook the Stingers? Rapture has no doubt she will run into Minx or Riot eventually. For now, though... she revels in the emptiness of the room. Flinging her arms out toward no one in particular (or so she thinks), her voice echoes strongly. ]

All bow down before me! [ For good measure, she throws her head back and laughs. ]

[waking up in a house that isn't hers isn't new, though this particular one is. None of the architecture she recognises, down from the gilded walls to the curtains and bed sheets. What material was this; one of the latest textiles from China?

...It's when she sees herself in the mirror though that things get truly alarming.

She shouldn't be that old.

She's... too old, way too old her height's almost doubled what's happened here-

Panicking madly and all too aware of how little she's wearing (you can't run away in the White Rus nude unless you want to die) she scrambles through the room; opening doors, checking closets and tearing out just about everything. Clothes. Warm clothes. She recognises nothing of the make or style which must been they're imports from very far off but...

A flimsy looking overly-ornate knife, a bottle of something in English she doesn't recognise ('chloro-form...?'), a... tool of some sort she thinks and... a white hair ribbon and a musty bottle of vodka. Her vodka; not like the others in the cabinet that are all glamorous and showy. The ribbon too. That's definitely hers.

About a half hour later at 9am, Belarus can be found exiting her suite, dressed warm and plainly in a cloak concealing much of her features. Trying to move about as quietly as possible; if you don't see her first she will simply slip by you.]

[it's the kitchen that truly disturbs her. There's no larder of any sort as she's familiar with, just lots of boxes and letters; half the powders she doesn't recognise by colour or smell and is extremely hesitant to touch. They didn't even salt the meats are they insane....

Bread and root vegetables are the ones she's going for, gathering them together like a runaway. Which is appropriate, really.]

[Lithuania has checked this room once before, though no more than a cursory glance--he returns because he can't help but be hungry by now. Seeing someone else isn't really a surprise, but the way she's gathering food worries him a little. Of course, this situation probably warrants the behavior, but still--]

[Exploring the place leads her towards flowers. It's not surprising and she even puts her ever present pitchfork to the side the look through them when she locates some sunflowers.

She'll go back to exploring the building after she takes this small breather with the flowers.]

[After much crying and panicking Latvia finally seemed to be settling down. Following a bit of exploration in the morning he'd finally found the library and planned to stay there for the rest of the afternoon.

He gazed at the shelves in wonder, the number of books was certainly impressive but it was the age and condition that captured his attention. A certain book of poetry caught his eye, just barely in his reach. Standing on the tips of his toes Latvia carefully attempted to extract the tome, only for several over books to come tumbling down with it. Looking even more like a child in his short and a jumper that was just slightly too big for him, he scrambled around on the ground trying to pick everything up before anyone found him]

[She notes the fall and puts her pitchfork to the side to help him pick them up.]

Bernkastel | rooftop | 11am

[Bernkastel's tail lashes back and forth twice as she stares out over the grounds, but that's the only outward sign of any irritation. It's unusual for someone to call her so demandingly to a game board, but the loss of most of her abilities and the uneasy fuzziness in her mind are far more annoying.

Whoever brought her here should be congratulated and mutilated in equal measures.]

This sort of location is certainly classic.

Classic for what, yo? Jus' looks like some crappy old house to me.

altman ; fence ; 1 pm

[ Once he'd taken stock of the inside of the building, Altman had been drawn outside to the grounds. There wasn't much, nothing besides plants, a pond, a few small buildings... and that fence. Altman followed it for what felt like forever, until he'd made a full circuit of the grounds. No openings. Trapped. Trapped all over again. No way out.

His heart started to hammer in his chest all over again, the faint, distant whine growing in his ears as anxiety creeps through him like a wash of hot-cold static. Despite the openness of the grounds, the wind chill against the sweat on the back of his neck reminding him of the relative freedom, claustrophobic sinks its teeth into him like a bear trap.

The fence. Frowning, and hand shaking slightly, Altman finally reaches out and touches it. He had half-expected it, but the shock still makes him yelp and jerk away, hand pulled close to his chest. Electrified.

They weren't getting out. Not all of them, anyways. ]

Fuck... Fuck fuck FUCK.

Certainly the most succinct description of the situation I've heard so far.

[The voice carries the vague amusement of one who had similarly electrocuted themselves ten seconds ago and now condescended from the lofty seat of experience.]

I suppose it would be rather pointless to go to the trouble of bringing us here only to leave the exit door open.

[Lydia comes stomping out the Emerald wing and into the foyer, heading straight for the door.]

I am all for a costume party. Hell, I'm even alright with stupid Great Gatsby 1920's parties started by people who only saw the movie. But I am not okay with my wardrobe being stolen! It was all designer!

[She huffs and throws her hands into the air.]

If I'm going to be stuck in a creepy old manor, I'm at least going to do it in style.

[Stiles is already examining the foyer, looking for secret passageways - it's a mansion, there has to be at least one right? - but the girl storming in gets his attention. Wow, she's really pretty, but uh...]

That's what you're worried about? You've definitely got your priorities straight. Besides, if this stuff really is from the 1920's, you'd probably make enough selling it to buy more clothes.

Poland | 7AM - Fence | Noon - Conservatory

[7 AM - Fence]

[After waking up in an unfamiliar room, Poland didn't waste time getting dressed and grabbing the key ring. Stranger's houses meant strangers, so how he'd gotten here or why he'd ended up here was no where near as important as just simply getting out as soon as possible. The house seemed to have other ideas though. After a detour mistaking the trap door in the library for something useful--with some shoes that were probably entirely ill suited for roof shenanigans-- Poland eventually found his way out to grounds through the conservatory.

He'd seen the iron fence from the roof but it wasn't until he'd actually gotten up to it that he realized there was no gate. Or that it was ten feet high. Or that it shocked people at the slightest touch.]

Ow--tch!

[Noon - Conservatory]

[After a couple hours of following the entire perimeter of the fence and repeatedly poking different sections of it looking for a weak point to climb, Poland would prefer to not interact with any inhabitants of the house if it can be avoided. Somehow making the trek to the third floor of the house to get to the room he'd woken up in without bumping into anyone is probably impossible. Hiding behind some poorly taken care of plants until everyone eventually dissipates sounds like a much better alternative!]

(Jokes aside, Marlow really is hungry. Sleeping until noon will do that to a girl. So once she's gotten her bearings, she makes her way first to the ballroom and then to the kitchen, hoping to be able to find supplies. She's actually pleasantly surprised at how much food there seems to be on offer. It's in her nature to be suspicious and assume the worst.

[Beat is completely confused as to what he's doing here. Except for the Reaper's Game, he has no memory of his life at all, so for all he knows that could have been his actual bedroom he woke up in. The problem with that is, why he would be here, when he's supposed to be back in the Game erasing some random Player... and after bothering a few people, it was clear the answers were still nowhere to be found.

But the Billiards Room was directly across from his room, so he eventually gravitated back that way to play some pool. It wasn't like there was anything better to do.]

[Siren had only been up for a short while, but it was rather strange that she hadn't bumped into the owner of the house yet. One would think they'd make an appearance with so many people wandering about the house so confused.]

[she's not hard to spot, though she's doing it out of sight of the windows using the trees around the pond as cover. A black shape with silver hair methodically digging at the ground. If you're around near the pond or just following the line of the fence looking for the gate, you won't have much of a hard time finding her.]

[After a short stint in the house, Poland's back at the fence. Even when he stuck to one room there were too many strangers for his liking. At least being outside gave him somewhat of an escape if he bumped into people.

Seeing someone digging makes Poland light up a little though. He hadn't considered going under the fence in his stressed out state this morning. It was so obvious!
