The room you're in is luxurious and comfortable, but there is a musty feeling of disuse and decay in the air. Still, you've provided with new wardrobe perfectly tailored for you, a key ring that will unlock your bedroom door, so surely you're welcome to explore the manor?

Have a look around and make yourselves at home. You'll soon find you're not alone, but if any among you knows the secrets of this place, they aren't speaking.]

...Yeah?

[ Minatsuki speaks with wariness. She woke up not long ago, and is carefully poking around the place, trying to figure out what the hell is going on. But maybe this person knows; she eyes them in a guarded way, as if she doesn't really expect answers. Her life's been nothing but traps lately. ]

[souredsweet]

[answers are definitely not coming from Kaoru's direction. instead of anything remotely helpful or anything that even hints at being remotely helpful:]

I'm sorry to bother you, but I... don't understand how this works. [Kaoru glances briefly toward the floor, apparently struggling with embarrassment.] I've never seen clothing like this before, so I don't know if I've fastened the back properly. If you would be so kind, I would be very grateful if you checked.

[the soft pink dress is simple enough at least, but all those buttons... unused to restrictive sleeves, Kaoru has faced an intense battle trying to get them all done up.]

[ It takes her a moment to get what the girl is asking. Minatsuki hesitates. ]

I... guess. [ If it'll get her answers... she raises a hand. ] Turn around.

[souredsweet]

[a polite nod, and Kaoru turns around. for all the fuss and concern, the buttons are actually all fastened properly and in the right order. the thick, decorative ribbon looping around the back of the dress waist is tied pretty sloppily, though.]

[ Brusque as she may be, ribbons are Minatsuki's thing; she sets to work tying it into place. ]

...So. Ah. Did you just. Wake up here too?

[and Kaoru will let her work in silence until the question is posed.]

I did, yes. I've run into several other people in the exact same situation... As far as I can tell, we've all woken with wardrobes tailored to us but no clothing we are actually familiar with. It seems as though no one knows how we arrived here, either.
