week 0

[You wake in an unfamiliar bedroom, with no memory of how you came to be there and a sensation that something you once had is gone. The room you're in is luxurious and comfortable, but there is a musty feeling of disuse and decay in the air. Still, you've provided with new wardrobe perfectly tailored for you, a key ring that will unlock your bedroom door, so surely you're welcome to explore the manor?
Have a look around and make yourselves at home. You'll soon find you're not alone, but if any among you knows the secrets of this place, they aren't speaking.]
This is an open mingle log for arrival at the manor. Please put your character's name, location, and the time in the header of their comments. Characters are welcome to explore the manor and get to know one another; nothing else will be revealed to them today.
clyde barrow - bar - 11 am
The mansion itself doesn't strike him as terribly odd. He's been a "guest" of homes like it before, though admittedly, not ones as nice as this. This was the kind of mansion you find up North, and the kind he could only dream of stealing from, for now. He thought that there'd be more of a transition between small heists on plantations to the bigger ones like this, but, well... Clyde Barrow wasn't the sort of man to complain about opportunity when it's presented before him.
It's in his wandering the mansion (still humming a tune) that he makes it to the bar. That draws an impressed whistle from him, and he looks at the selection with wide eyes. ]
...Well, shit.
[ The Southern twang of his voice comes out more strongly in his surprise, though even when he steps inside and recomposes himself, it doesn't go away completely. ]
This ain't exactly some plantation owner's stash of moonshine. [ Another impressed whistle ] Woke up somewhere important, that's for sure. This kind of booze doesn't come cheap.

At the end of the day, he wasn't alone and still hiding behind the door he tries to get Clyde's attention]
Um... excuse me.
Do you happen to know where I am?
no subject
Huh?
[ A kid? Well, by his measure anyways, which basically amounts to "appearing to be any age under like twenty." He would have guessed it's someone that lived here, but no, from what he says, it seems like it's another sap like him. Clyde runs a hand through his hair as an idle gesture, but it hands at his side as he turns to face him fully. ]
Haven't got the faintest idea. Well, I suppose that's not entirely truthful, since clearly— [ He motions back towards the bar ] —someone rich and important. But that's about it.
no subject
[And they're normally huge bastards too but that's by the by]
I'm sorry, it's just that I woke up in a strange room and I don't know where I am or how I got here.
no subject
[ Then murmured more to himself: ] Whatever that boat is, I guess.
no subject
Actually... I had a look around outside earlier today, the fence is really high and it doesn't look like there's an exit.
no subject
No exit, huh? [ Sounds like prison, to him, but he keeps that observation to himself. Generally speaking, it's better to not admit that you're a convict. ] ...Guess that means we're supposed to stay here. Wonder why, though.
no subject
[Latvia wrings his hands, unsure of how to answer. He doesn't particularly want to think about it and he keeps glancing over at the liquor bottles]
I'm no sure... Uh, but you don't think they'll mind if we take something to drink?
no subject
Well, if they do, I'll apologize. They've got plenty to share, it seems to me.
no subject
And if they're keeping us prisoner, they would take away things they didn't want use to get our hands on.

[Eventually he settles on a bottle of fruit liqueur, mostly because it was within easy reach]
no subject
I like how you think.
[ Clyde notes the choice, but starts to make his own drink, whistling as he's impressed by the icebox. ] With that logic though, they might be a bit poorer by the time we leave. There's a lot of nice stuff.
no subject
[It seems like a silly question but it really is a concern for him]
no subject
[ He shrugs, a wide gesture ] It's what I want to hope, anyways. I got things to do back home, you know?
