[You wake in an unfamiliar bedroom, with no memory of how you came to be there and a sensation that something you once had is gone. The room you're in is luxurious and comfortable, but there is a musty feeling of disuse and decay in the air. Still, you've provided with new wardrobe perfectly tailored for you, a key ring that will unlock your bedroom door, so surely you're welcome to explore the manor?

Have a look around and make yourselves at home. You'll soon find you're not alone, but if any among you knows the secrets of this place, they aren't speaking.]

Susan Sto Helit. I live in Ankh-Morpork.

[She frowns slightly as she faces the polite young woman.]

I'm afraid I haven't heard of Tosa - perhaps a different continent?

It's a pleasure to meet you, miss. ...That may be the case, though. The name Ankh-Morpork is also unfamiliar to me.

[and the pronunciation is likely somewhat butchered, but A for effort.]

[...An even deeper frown at this point. There was a certain saying - All roads lead to Ankh-Morpork. Susan wasn't quite so narcissistic as to actually believe her city was the center of the universe, but even the Counterweight Continent, as far as she knew, was aware of the largest city on the Disc.]

In any case, I shall remain here a while longer. Goodbye, then. I expect I'll be seeing you again.

[the frown is noted, but Kaoru makes no comment on it. if Susan wanted to voice anything, she would have done so, surely - the impression she gives off is not of a person who bites their tongue.]

...Let us hope that the next time we see each other, the circumstances will be significantly improved. [AND OFF KAORU GOES back to being an intrepid explorer inside a house that belongs to somebody else.]

[Susan, of course, needed to ponder on such things further. Also both characters have already had this revelation in later threads so in the interest of continuity she says nothing. She isn't quite so hopeful as Kaoru is, but she gives a nod nonetheless.]
