[There is, in fact, someone in there, fairly close to the door. It's Rin Kagamine, lying on her side. There's no blood, of course, but there's a metallic smell in the air, like a badly malfunctioning computer.]

[Uh oh. Poland recognizes this smell from many a late night of fried computers from excessive video gaming.]

Uhm... [Poland nudges her with his foot a little.] Hey like that's not the best place for a nap...

[Please don't be dead. Please don't be dead. Or if you're going to be dead please don't be a gross corpse. Oh please.]

...Rin?

[oh no how do you even tell with robots- Yuzu kneels down next to her to try shaking her shoulder a little]

[Her eyes are open, and she doesn't move when shaken. Although there's not much of a way to tell whether she's living or dead, there's no sign of life to her.

The smell seems to be emanating from her midsection, which is smoking slightly.]

[Poland covers mouth and nose, grabbing a conductor's baton to poke around where he's noticed the smoke coming out from.] Maybe it's not so bad! I mean... um. Maybe we can just reboot her system and play with the cross-platform sensor so we can back up the SSL microchip!

[He has no idea what anything he just said actually means, but what's there to find where she's smoking from?]

[a-at least there isn't blood everywhere. Trying to be careful and not touch any parts that might be on fire / hot, Yuzu will try to roll Rin onto her back so they can get a clear look.]

[There is a sword sticking out of her midsection.]

Or not. [Well that sure is a sword sticking out of a robot. Even without being a tech nerd Poland is pretty sure that's not fixable.]

... crap. [Poland looks at the sword trying to ascertain the type if he'd be able to recognize it.]

[...even if she was expecting a murder today finding it is...

she'll try to see if there are any other marks but admittedly that sword is hard to ignore]

...Someone needs to raise the alarm.

[There doesn't appear to be much else going on with the body, aside from the smoke and slight warping of Rin's skin around the hole.]

[Poland lets the sword stay in, he doesn't want to botch any finger prints that might be on it.] It's a rapier.

[And there's the damn clock.] Yeah um. I think it's been taken care of.

Aren't there only two of us?

[It's a particularly thin sword, but it seems to have done the job.]

[Poland quickly counts-- One. Two. Er...Technically three! But Rin doesn't count being impaled and non-operational.]

[Poland pulls Yuzu over, whispering in her ear as discreetly as possible.]

No, someone found it first.

[If there's anyone else around, it isn't obvious. However, there are signs of a struggle - the piano bench has been pushed out of its usual position and there is sheet music on the ground. A layer of dust also seems to be settling in the air.]

Nggh...!! [Poland checks anyways taking note of the disorder and almost jumping out of his skin seeing a bust in the corner of the room. Yuzu's idea is slightly less terrifying, so he'd really prefer to go with that.]

Why wouldn't they tell someone then, usually whoever finds these things first
can't wait to run down the hall screaming about it. [The disturbed dust isn't lost on Poland though.] ...You think maybe they saw what happened?

...I don't know. But someone needs to stay in this room. Sapphire and Emerald are two closest wings, right?

[The dust is settling; there isn't much of it left in the air.]

[How long does it take dust to settle anyways-- that's probably a good experiment for the trial not so much now. focus.

Poland wields his baton like he would very much like it to be a rapier.]

Okay so you stay here and I'll like! Catch them or something!

We need to check the room first!

checking the piano seems the obvious starting point though; she'll head over here]

[Sheet music is set out, but has been knocked askew; the bench has also been pushed aside.]

[But they're getting away Yuzu!!! Although Poland doesn't really ant to face a murder alone even if he could catch up with them.

Poland moves to investigate the bench for anything weird.]
