I look like my mother. ...But even more grotesque.

[Susan's hair begins to rearrange itself now to hide the crown as much as possible as she crosses her arms and takes on the guise of the most unpleasant Good Fairy ever known to mankind.]

...I can see the corners of your mouth perking up, you know. Stop it.

[Lithuania's expression will rearrange itself into something more serious, then.]

They're really interested in Halloween here, I suppose.

[inthebones]

And what is Halloween? Apart from the obvious bits involving torture.

It's a holiday. We don't really celebrate it in my country, but this seems like something one of my friends [who Lithuania can't quite remember] would do. Children dress up in costumes and go door to door getting candy there, and sometimes there are costume parties. It's on October 31st. I celebrate something different the day after.

[inthebones]

...I have enough candy already. And only one or two of us count as a 'children', really. This is obviously entirely nonsense.

What about that bit about nightmares, then?

You're not supposed to look cute!

[How can he make fun of her now it's not faiiiiir.]

I believe Lithuania is over there. Do feel free to aim that adjective in his general direction.

[Wait. It's still Susan deep down underneath all the puffy pink adorability. He's finding the ability again.]

Don't flatter yourself. [Wow gross Susan. He's a hot nurse this week not a geriatric nurse.]

I don't know that I'd consider it a compliment, really. Your tastes are a bit alarming. ...Are you supposed to be a member of the Seamstress's Guild?

I like pink. [Said matter of factly. What is alarming about that?]

Miss Susan, you're so beautiful! You're like a real fairytale queen!

[inthebones]

[Susan is momentarily distracted by the pigtails and the gingham dress and the urge to pat May on the head. She overcomes it with great willpower.]

Well. Thank you. I rather thought I was more attractive without, though. The pink doesn't do any favors for my pale skin.

[are you saying she wasn't beautiful before rude may]

You're beautiful no matter what you wear! But it is always fun to try new styles, and the dress they have picked out for you is just wonderful! It is certainly the most stunning outfit out of anyone here! [more exclamation points than usual because oh gosh Susan's dress is just basically everything May has ever wanted to wear in her entire life and also she hasn't really realized these are costumes yet...]

I know I'm certainly stunned beyond belief.

[Susan would quite happily offer it to May if she wouldn't drown in all the fabric.]

I didn't think you would be into this kind of thing, but I suppose you are a princess.

[throe]

[ It starts as a chuckle, then goes into full-on laughter, so much she has to hold onto the table to keep herself from falling over. Her body is practically shaking with every laugh. ]

You're the good witch!

[inthebones]

...And you're the witch who's about to need a rectal examination.

[Susan will also hold onto the table but this may mostly be to keep herself from launching the wand at Rapture's face.]

I was right— [ She tries to keep her composure and not howl from laughter. ] —you make the perfect Hologram!

[inthebones]

A what? Is that supposed to make me feel any better about this? If it is, the riotous laughter isn't exactly helping.

[throe]

[ Silly Susan, Riot would be chuckling, not half-cackling like Rapture is. ]

It's what I said last week, you're like what's-her-face from Jem and the Holograms. You'd... [ She presses her lips together for a moment, her smiling growing before she realizes she can go on without bursting into laughter. ] ...probably make a better Jem in this costume though. Pink really suits you!

[allice]

[Adding onto the chorus of laughs is Alice. Ok she might look like a badly done up mummy, but Susan's is A+ gold.]

Oh my god those bastards are terrible, pwhahaha!

[inthebones]

I take the laughter as a despairing break of sanity directed against the cruel fates that have placed us in this position.

[allice]

O-Oh God, I-I'm sorry, ahahaha!

[She laughs for only a few more seconds before she tries to control her breathing and get calm.]

Ah...ok...ok, I think I'll be fine. [Her eyes are still closed and she's smiling, but at least she's not laughing anymore.] I just won't be able to look at you right now.

Given that I can barely stand to look at me right now, that's a perfectly acceptable response.

[If she meets Susan in the eyes right now Alice might turn to stone anyway.]

What are you supposed to be? The spectre of lavatories without waste paper?
