[Susan will also hold onto the table but this may mostly be to keep herself from launching the wand at Rapture's face.]

I was right— [ She tries to keep her composure and not howl from laughter. ] —you make the perfect Hologram!

A what? Is that supposed to make me feel any better about this? If it is, the riotous laughter isn't exactly helping.

[ Silly Susan, Riot would be chuckling, not half-cackling like Rapture is. ]

It's what I said last week, you're like what's-her-face from Jem and the Holograms. You'd... [ She presses her lips together for a moment, her smiling growing before she realizes she can go on without bursting into laughter. ] ...probably make a better Jem in this costume though. Pink really suits you!

Pink suits me about as much as the rest of this house does.

I suppose it's always been my lifelong dream to grow up to be a loofah.

[Says Susan even though loofahs haven't been invented yet.]

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Maybe next you'll start taking care of foster children and sing songs about peace on Earth.

Despite the fact that I was already a governess, I already told you I don't do music. ...Besides which, it'd be peace on the Disc; moreover, peace on the Disc is liable only to be achieved when the world is a barren husk so I probably shouldn't be wishing for that.

Who said anything about good music? [ A pass at the Holograms that no one except Rapture will get. She smirks for how clever it is. ] For someone who uses sarcasm a lot, you're not really good with facetiousness.

Unless you're being facetious now. Which, if you are, I still stand by what I said.

I like to keep my words open-ended, interpretation-wise. It allows for more opportunities to be right when no one actually understands what you mean for sure.

[Susan is always facetious.]

In any case, the house is obviously growing desperate for amusement. I take this as a sign that they're no longer entertained by mere murder alone and we shall shortly be escorted home as the game comes to an end.

[ That is hilarious, because no one knows what either Susan or Rapture is ever saying. ]

I don't know, I enjoy it. Halloween has always been an important time to me... as well as the spirits of my ancestors! It's a time when everyone shows who they really are...

Plus, the game runners would be crazy to end it now when the show's getting even better.

...Who I really am is about as far, conceptually, from 'pink cascade' as you can get, I assure you. This dress ought to be illegal.

And your definition of 'better' seems to be at odds with the standard one.

I would venture to say that 'worse' is the first description that comes to mind upon being forced to retrieve dismembered limbs. 'Infinitely worse' also comes to mind.

I guess that makes sense for someone who has to celebrate Halloween all year round. Don't you want to be someone different for once? Even just one day out of the year?

Halloween is about showing our true selves, removing our masks to be someone we've always wanted to be, and reveling in Lynch and Cronenberg films!

...Why would I waste my time pretending to be someone I'm not?

[Susan seems to actually find this baffling.]

My true self is exactly how it's presented. I don't have the patience to accommodate anyone else but myself. Perhaps that's why this holiday is so tedious...
