That should all come together in the next card. [ Her hand falls to the card below the Queen. ] This is the card of the subconscious: Reason. The reason that brought you to the circumstances you are questioning and will help you through the obstacles it presents.
The Three of Hearts signifies an unwise decision, made without proper information in haste. It is also a chance for betterment. Even made in haste, you shouldn't overlook the opportunities given to you on the spot. This may go in conjunction with your future card.

[...That does prompt her to sober up a little with a thoughtful look, though. Haha... Unwise decision, given the sort of question she picked? It's almost making it sound like she got here because she jumped on a bad vacation spot deal.
Which she might actually legit be prone to doing, but details.Funny outside the context, but not so funny within.]2/2
Perking back up as she claps her hands together once!]
So... seize the day and make the best out of a poor situation? It frankly sounds like wise life advice all around, hehe. I'll do my best to remember all of it, thank you very much for taking the time to do this for me!

Someone just may take advantage of your dependability and use it for their own gain... where the unwise decision may lead to a bad situation. Prevent that from happening and your fortune may turn out differently, but remember... [ She motions her hand across the spread. ] This is your destiny.
[ Cue: Destiny. Unfortunately, because this is not a trial featuring the Hostess and her crew at work... it doesn't happen, so she just sits there with an expression of wise caution written on her face to make up for that fact. ]

[Not touching on dying! Because who'd want to, honestly. AND SHE REMEMBERS THAT PERFORMANCE... Admittedly just stared at the time, but there has been internal clapping]
Very gracious of you, that was fun and enlightening. Have you thought of doing this again, by any chance, but at an earlier time in a more public space? [11PM in Billiards Room is kind of out of the way, after all...]

[ What a great joke relating Touko as the Queen of Hearts and a murder mystery mansion. The way she says it may not even sound like joking to some, but it's fairly hard to recognize when she is being facetious and when she is not. ]
I've given some people readings here and there throughout the past week, but that may not be a bad idea... it would work better if I had my Tarot deck, but it couldn't hurt to put the offer out there.

[whether it was supposed to be taken seriously or lightly, she certainly... doesn't sound particularly worried! but yes, this was neat.]
It would be a great way to break the monotony, everyone's so tense because of the setting. They're certainly justified, but this is still a nice manor, and living under constant paranoia is a very unappealing thing. Hmm... What about throwing together a makeshift deck? Drawing or even writing the arcanas should be easy, but finding good base cardboard paper would be tricky.
no subject
You have a point... [ And she does like being creative whenever she gets the chance. ] My deck was handed down throughout my ancestry before being bestowed unto me that it holds esoteric secrets and the abilities of my ancestors, it's why I prefer to use it over anything else.
Making a temporary makeshift deck isn't entirely a bad idea though. I suppose I could instill some of my psychic abilities into it.
no subject
[humming knowingly!] Of course. Who wouldn't choose the set of tools they're most used to, especially if it's a priceless familial heirloom? But since that's a luxury we can't afford here, we'll have to improvise. Do you think it's still worth a shot?
no subject
I think so. Really all I would need to do is bond the deck to me by touch once it's completed. After that, it could pretty much work similarly to my old deck.
no subject
Fair enough. Now what to use? If there are other card games laying around that's not being played, you could recycle those. Otherwise, hm...
[Durable cardboard-like paper that's good for shuffling... Man. Book covers? Are they going to be missed?]
no subject
I'd need two layers of cardstock to glue together and make the cards themselves. There's cardboard boxes in the basement. I suppose I could try to use the cardboard from those, but I'd have to thin it out to get the right consistency. It disrupts the flow if I can't shuffle them properly.
no subject
[Tapping her chin!] Hm, we certainly wouldn't run out of materials with those boxes. I could thin those out evenly for you, it's brainless work but it'll give me something to do. That said, are we including the minor arcanas too? It'd be... 22 without, and adding 56 to that with, am I remembering right?
no subject
You'd really do that? [ She seems genuinely surprised for a moment, but then tells herself that of course someone would do that for her. She's her! Rapture then falls back into her regular smirking. ] You're right though, 78 cards in total.
no subject
I'll feel more at my element, haha. Puppets are my expertise, although I like making things in general. I've had to gone by on soap and fruit carvings without my usual assets, this'll be a nice change of pace.
no subject
Puppets? Really? [ Finished with sorting the deck, she leans back in her chair with her arms crossed. ] I saw a lot of that in Germany — it's apparently really big there. You carve them out of wood then?
no subject
I did make some good business in Germany, when I was still in Europe. As for the material... [She chuckles with a small shrug.] It depends on what the puppet is for. Wood tends to be cheap and doesn't sell for much no matter how well it's made, so I don't use it often. People pay to see dolls that look so realistic they could practically come to life, on the other hand. I was working on an exhibit like that, before I got dragged here.
no subject
That's pretty neat. [ The way she says it implies that she means it. After all, Rapture is fond of puppets herself... but of a different kind. ] Most people seem so freaked out by them, but they're just dolls. I guess some people just lack appreciation for creativity.
no subject
[That's more plain dress-up... She laughs cheerfully, regardless.] Thank you, now I just wish I had something to show. True too, but they're not enough to dent my clientele, obviously. Although given our situation, maybe I should find some wood and try carving something tomorrow. Pieces of fruits and soap are getting a little repetitive.
