( There's something almost romantic about that. Traveling around, meeting people... it's like an older time. But Spain won't say anything, )

I suppose this will make an interesting story for you when you get home then, won't it?

[ He just laughs at that, smirking ]

If anyone would even believe it. It's one hell of a story already, so I might just get strung up for talkin' nonsense.

Perhaps you can sell it as a different story? A novel, perhaps. You could become a famous author!
coca_cola: (lord I'm standing at the crossroad)

[ If only he were really a writer, he'd be right. But he nods like it's a good idea. ]

You're onto somethin', there. I might just make my fortune off somethin' strange like this, huh?

Of course, this is a rather interesting situation so you might as well make the best of it, right?

( And he gets a rather dreamy look in his eye, )

When you're famous, you'll have to remember it was I who gave you the idea, okay? A little note in the beginning, "I would like to thank Spain."
coca_cola: (she don't come)

[ He's laughs pleasantly, waving his hand dismissively, but whatever he was about to say is lost at what seems like strange phrasing. ]

...Well, I wouldn't mind thankin' you, but why thank a whole country? That's pretty humble of you. [ He's like guessing that he's from spain or something and really proud of it who knows ]

( Boss Spain doesn't understand. )

Nope. ( G r i n n i n g ) I've inspired a lot of famous artists and writers, you know!

El Greco and Goya and de Cervantes...

( Prattling off names and counting them off on his fingers. )
coca_cola: (all I need is)

[personal profile] coca_cola 2013-09-28 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
[ woah... he only sort of maybe kind of recognizes one of those names, so he scratches his head. ]

Uh... yeah. I think the point is, if I write a novel, I should dedicate it to you, right?

That's what I've been say-- ( Oh. Oh, he gets it. ) Let me tell you a story instead!

Have you heard the story of Pinocchio?
coca_cola: (you can run)

[personal profile] coca_cola 2013-09-28 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah? What's that got to do with anything?

Well, the story is about a puppet that comes to life, right?

It was made by a man who gave him the name, Pinocchio! By a miracle, Pinocchio comes to life and learns what it's like to be a human. Eventually, Pinocchio becomes a real boy!

( Sparknotes version of the story explained, he'll continue once he's sure Clyde follows, )

Where I'm from, there were once people. The people came together and made a kingdom called Spain. The next thing I knew, I was alive!

... Does that make sense?
