A long time ago, you met a man named M. Mordswell, right? Dr. Mordswell, I guess. He was supposed to help in the war, but something went wrong. He wound up killing a lot of people with a plague, including yours. He warned us...it's you. You wanted to get revenge on him, so you brought all of us in on it. You made us play this game, and you forced Dr. Mordswell's daughter to play, too. And when you were done, you killed her. Fortunately...while she was dying, she made sure we'd find out the truth. I think maybe you've been hurting people for a long time, to get revenge for what happened to you. But it's time for this to end now.
[Susan quietly takes a small step forward at this point, saying nothing, but simply affirming that Marlow was not the only one who knew. No funny business. Not at the end.]
[Lithuania reads the letter, sitting calmly. Much calmer, actually, than he's seemed in over a week. He folds the letter neatly and places the letter on top of it on his lap.]
[Once he's revealed his face, he's immediately coming at him practically snarling in hatred. Actually, someone might want to stop him before he tries to strangle Lithuania, because he looks like he might.]
Wow. That uh...definitely didn't happen where I come from. I mean, I know my history's not the greatest but I think they would have taught us about a genocide that wiped out an entire country.
Great. We've been stuck in a hellhole for two months that could have just be solved with a single call to the Ghostbusters.
Can we just vote for him and get this over with? I don't really want to stick around for the evil villain act or the smug 'all you humans are insects to me and my life is worth so much more' nation act.
( Excuse me pardon me there is something about all of this that is really fucking bothering Spain right now. It was something Marlow said earlier. Spain's tone is careful but sharp, like he's trying to keep his emotions under control. )

Yes?

[She gestures to the letter in her hands.]

[She holds out the medal.]
I think this belongs to you.

May I see the letter as well, Miss Marlow?

[She's nervous now. Did something go wrong? But no, it has to be him. She hands over the letter.]

Shall I congratulate you? I suppose it would only be fair.

[Susan's voice, too, is like steel as she addresses the man she thought she had known.]
What did any of this bring you? To cause misery, pain? The pain that you felt?

Wait, seriously? You're actually claiming to be some kind of plague ghost of Lithuania?
no subject
This shell is all that remains of Lithuania - if the letter is to be believed.
no subject
But more importantly, so is he a ghost or not?
no subject
I expect he's about to be very soon, though.
