Hm? ( He's about to reply with something snappy until he realizes it's Kaoru. Sorry, talking to Poland will do this to you, apparently. ) ... What about it? It's a magic box.
[it's okay Kaoru understands Poland tried to foist May on him god why
that's a very vague answer though, and Kaoru is discomforted when it comes to speaking with Spain to begin with. STILL curiosity eventually reigns supreme:]
...But what does it do? And how does it work? Where do the items go to when they disappear, and was anything inside of the box when you received it?
( Did it really take a week for someone to seriously sit Spain down and ask how the magic box worked... )
Everyone knows there was a condition that had to be met to obtain an item. However, the box... came with its own conditions in order to be used properly.
To get the box, I had to make it look like a spirit was involved. I used Miss Siren's business card to set that up.
The box itself can make items disappear and appear magically. In order to use the box though, I had to follow two more conditions. I had to make make the crime scene "spooky" and I had to make sure the box could be found. If it was going to be found anyways, I didn't bother hiding it; that's why it was left in the open in the parlor.
Oh! [well. that makes sense and now Kaoru feels a little dim for not having asked sooner. Kaoru pauses briefly at a particularly unpleasant shudder and briefly holds one hand up but DON'T WORRY SPAIN Kaoru won't be sick...]
—Were those the conditions for the, ah... "Halloween" week? [brow furrowing:] And what about the appearing part?
I thought it was because of Halloween, yes. The conditions are probably different for this week if that's the case.
... The box is magic. If it can make things disappear on its own and reappear with cookies, is it really a stretch to that it could give you an item too? I went through a lot of trouble to use it, you know.
[Spain gets a slightly bitter look at that because murdering their neighbor is a little more than "a lot of trouble".
regardless, though... it reminds Kaoru of a possibility that had been brought up to Susan earlier.] Do you know what items it dispenses? Are there conditions that need to be met for both the appearing ones and the disappearing ones?

You ruined the mystery box for me!
And I don't know a Lithuania! But he sounds like a real jerk!

[He was really excited about it too!]

It was supposed to be some exciting thing and it turned out to just be a box you can feed cookies!
I bet you don't even know how it works!

And I'll stop launching the rest of the tea set.
[Maybe.]

It was really unfair, to tell the truth.
