It does matter because it's completely useless to someone who doesn't actually need it in the first place. Why keep something for killing someone if it's going to go to waste, why kill for something you already have?

Killing someone for immortality and confessing the first day of the trial just isn't something a natural born killer would do. You know how to put on a performance, but you're harmless. You're not unassuming in the least simply because you're boasting about it.
