Okay, so I tested Beat's blood for poison since we've been tossing around that idea and evidently someone drank something from the communion cup. Why the hell he'd do that, I have no idea, but we can get to that later. The point is that the liquid I tested should have either turned black in the presence of poison or remained the same if not.
[He holds up a vial of dark blue liquid.]
I can definitely say that is not the same color as Beat's blood. It's not black, so maybe he wasn't poisoned, but I think it's safe to say he was definitely dosed with something.
I...have no idea. If he was poisoned, it should have turned black. If he wasn't, nothing should have happened at all. Dark blue definitely wasn't covered under the realm of possibilities.
[Gross and cobwebby still. There's a winding, narrow passageway. It's tall enough for a person to stand, but not an especially tall person. Nothing to indicate its been used.]
[Whoa, the conductor of the train to brood town over here in the corner is taking an interest in this, unlike how he's been acting the rest of the morning.]
There's something in his blood that shouldn't be there. It dyed his eyes red. Perhaps it changed the color of this outcome as well.
This is it - the first bit of proof we have. Proof that someone gave Beat something to make him act the way he did. To set everything up to provoke this confrontation. There was a third person - no, a fourth. A fourth person involved in everything that happened on Wednesday morning.
This is from testing his blood, but there's wine stains in the chalice. I'm pretty sure it's usually empty, so it's possible someone filled it with...whatever the hell this stuff is and he drank it. Still have no freaking clue why he'd do something like that, but I'm betting if that's what happened, one of the side-effects is turning you into someone who'd try to kill a kid.
[Her words are shaky. Susan's wide-eyed stare at the vial is entirely unlike any other expression she's ever exhibited. Two moments, though, and it is gone in the blink of an eye, her usual calm restored.]
Yes, there must have been something. The poison - the drug hypothesis. There's proof for it now.
A poison to transform your very being, to inspire bloodlust...quite a thing. A mere hallucinogen could perhaps prompt such a reaction, but there would be no guarantee.
There was something in Beat's blood that affected him physically. We can be fairly sure of what much. As for the other ways it affected him... Well, it is not much of a leap.
That would have probably made it turn black, if it was... [Or Lithuania hopes so, at least.] We just need to figure out what was used instead, then. Do we even have any drugs or poisons in the house anymore that could do something like that?
[They tend to dump those out as soon as possible.]
There's only four suspects. Unless you're saying they were all involved, three's my best bet. May who Beat attacked, Gundam who set up the scene to frame himself...and someone who dosed Beat into a person who'd kill a ten-year old girl.
Now we just need to find out what the hell this thing that isn't poison actually is.
...Either he saw May as something he wanted to attack, or he didn't care at all, either way. The exact details don't matter.
What this means is... no one would be content to allow May to kill in self-defense. This was done for a purpose. The person had to kill themselves in order to claim their prize.
There's also the question of why our killer used this poison. If they could have manipulated Beat somehow where he'd drink something they dosed, why not just use regular poison? I bet there has to be something fast-acting in the poisons they hand out for targeting a deadweight, like cyanide.
No idea, I'm not a chemist. The only thing I've heard of that might turn you violent are drugs like PCP, but I can't imagine that being easily found in the house.
