Oh god. She's so magnificent. Oh wow. Such perfect conformation. Her mane looks so soft.]

[ And in that moment I swear a fucking horse stole my boyfriend ]

Sh-she is... a sponsorship prize.

[godwhisperer]

You have found such favor with the audience! Incredible!

[He's staring at the horse in what appears to be fist-clenching rage but it's really just extremely intense appreciation.]

[teenspirit]

[ If only he would look at her like that. ]

Maybe too much favor. My poor darling... [ She puts a hand against the mare's shoulder. ]

[godwhisperer]

[He will never look at you the way he looks at a horse I'm so sorry.]

Ah...of course...you must be concerned about her fate in this place...how insensitive of me.

[teenspirit]

[ It's so sad. ]

Um... well, that, too, [ way to be depressing ] but also we are on the third floor and I am almost certain that she cannot make the stairs. She is a show horse. I don't believe she has ever encountered stairs in her life.

[godwhisperer]

Oh, merely that?

[He waives off the concern.]

There is nothing in their physiology that prevents it, it is merely unfamiliar to them, and will require some coaxing. But it would be to her benefit to bring her down to the stables...

[teenspirit]

Well, if anyone can help her with it, it's you...

[ She does seem relieved to have him there. Her voice drops to a mumble; suddenly she seems to be talking to herself. ] But why now...

[godwhisperer]

[He misses the comment, because he's too busy planning horse logistics. He reaches into his pocket and takes out a few slices of apple, which is totally normal.]

Yes. If you would like, I will bring her down there.

[teenspirit]

[ How is he always prepared??? Who even carries cut fruit around???

Nonetheless the horse begins trying to get at the apple slices. ]

I... shall leave it up to you. But how can I pay you back for such a task?

[godwhisperer]

Hm?

[He's feeding her a few of the slices out of his hand.]

Ah...it does not require payment! I am pleased to assist...

[teenspirit]

I insist. Lithium is an important asset to my family and she is a part of many ceremonies. If she were hurt, it would be difficult to replace her. I would like to return the favor somehow.

[ Well the horse seems to be warming right up to Gundam. It is love at first sight. ]

[godwhisperer]

[He's absently stroking her mane now.]

...She will come to no harm, I assure you. However, in terms of payment, there is none that I can think of. Truly, I enjoy the company of equines.

[teenspirit]

[ Staring at him yeah she sees right through you. ]

Do you want to ride her?

[godwhisperer]

Y...yes, perhaps. If permission to ride her would suffice as payment I will accept.

[teenspirit]

That might not be enough, so I think I'll kiss you again...

[godwhisperer]

That also will be acceptable...

[Turning flustered. Ahhhh how did things turn into this so suddenly while he was busy petting this pony.]

[teenspirit]

[ Awwwwwwwwww yeah she's so smooth that horse ain't got nothin' on her except for the fact that she's an awesome horse ]

Okay! But I won't pay up 'til it's done!

[ She claps her hands together. ] So, how do we do this?

[godwhisperer]

We will have to coax her down the stairway cautiously...the narrow stairway down to the second floor will present most difficulty.

[He pets her nose gently, and starts to speak to her in a very soft voice.]

All right. Come along with us.

[teenspirit]

[ Sonia pushes the door all the way open and backs up into the hallway. As Gundam leads the horse, Lithium is forced to duck her head to get past the doorway- while she is not a particularly large horse, it's obvious the manor was never designed to accommodate a creature so large. The floorboards seem to creak as she's led into the hallway. ]

Just tell me if there's anything I should do...

[godwhisperer]

Simply follow in case there is difficulty...

[He's very slow and careful with her as he walks her; although this isn't the most difficult thing he's done by far, he doesn't know her yet, and he doesn't like to ask a lot of trust from animals he doesn't know. But when he gets to the staircase, he'll stop and start to pet her, making soothing sounds quietly to her.]

Shhh, okay.

[teenspirit]

[ The horse's anxiety seems to rack up the moment she realizes that she is facing a sudden descent. She scuffs her front hooves against the floor noisily, bringing her head back; Sonia grasps the reins to control her. She looks worried, but she trusts that Gundam will take whatever time is needed to calm her down. ]

[godwhisperer]

[He does pause before the staircase, to wait for her to calm down. He isn't going to force an animal into a frightening situation. Instead, he very soothingly strokes her nose and speaks to her; she seems to understand already what he wants, so he merely has to make her feel comfortable enough to trust in him and try.]

Shh, shh, shh. You're okay.

[teenspirit]

[ It will be a few moments before the horse is prepared to descend; when she is, she nudges forward as though she's ready to just get it over with, although her eyes are on Gundam the whole time. At the first step, she pauses and readjusts her footing. This happens for the next step and the one after that. It is a very slow process. ]

[godwhisperer]

[He expects it to be slow, and he will coax her as slowly as she needs to move, murmuring comforting sounds at her all the way.]
