... I'm afraid of unwelcome visitors but I think spirits are one of my lesser concerns this week.

Oh, I wouldn't be so sure. Latvia threatened he'd possess me to prove a point, though maybe he has other intentions now...

[ She carelessly crosses one leg over the other. She frowns, but only for a very brief moment before she returns to a neutral expression that could be mistaken for bored. ]

I didn't come here to keep watch on you though, I don't have much interest in that. I just wanted to see what all the mastermind fuss is about.

How unfortunate. I'd never meant for his spirit to be at unrest.

( Though he says it casually enough, almost as if he's joking, he does look rather solemn at the thought though. One hand comes up, tracing around his neck for a moment before looking at Rapture again. In light of her motivations for coming, he manages a playful smile, )

And you think it's me? How flattering!

No, I don't. [ She shrugs. ] I just wanted to see if it really is rigged for them like everyone says it is.

I guess now that we're halfway through, that means it has to be an even better performance than before. With all the talk of the mastermind, I'd assume something bigger than ever is going to happen soon. Something so completely massive that not even the stars themselves can predict it! And the Stingers, as always, will come out on top!

( And now it's his turn to shrug. )

Contrary to what everyone believes now, I really am awful at these things. I don't know. Maybe?

I'm sure time will tell soon enough.

Until then, I'm sure you'll be bored spending most of your time doing nothing so— [ She reaches into the pocket of her slacks and pulls out her tarot deck. It still looks brand new, but the original cardboard-like stiffness is gone; it looks as if it melds easily underneath her palms now. ] —I'll offer you a consult with the stars. Free of charge.

... I don't believe in card readings.

( He says, even though he's definitely putting aside his things to lean closer. )

[ She takes that as a cue to move her chair closer and begin shuffling the deck. The cards glide easily, it's as if they are not made of something solid. ]

You don't have to believe in them to have one. Think of it as something to kill time with.

What an interesting choice of words...

( He's watching the cards carefully, almost as if he expects a trick card to be slipped in at any moment or something. He's been around the block a few times-- he's not going to fall for these kinds of tricks easily (anymore). )

[ Even with her elusive word choices, there are no tricks with this deck. Once she is done shuffling, she places it before him. ]
