[since Kaoru hasn't seen Rapture after breakfast Saturday morning, it's probably time to make sure she's doing all right. Rapture will hear a timid knock on the side of her open door at around 2 in the afternoon.]

[throe]

[ She's sitting morosely at her desk with her chin in hand. She doesn't startle when hearing the knock, but she does seem to be somewhere else entirely. Well, more than usual that is.

Rapture stays in her seat and swerves her head to address Kaoru. ]

Yeah?

[souredsweet]

[and naturally Kaoru completely forgets everything that was going to be asked, edging to the side of the door frame a little. there isn't really a good way of saying "so that autopsy sure was real, huh?"]

...I wished to see how you were faring, Miss Rapture.

[throe]

I'm faring well, thanks.

[ She doesn't give her usual smirk. The strange part is she looks more bored than upset really. She crosses her arms and slouches slightly in her chair. ]

I'm still on the popularity list. It's not like I have anything to worry about.

[souredsweet]

There is a truth to that. I am certain now that you are aware of exactly how good it has been for you to maintain such positions for the entirety of the game...

[loathe as Kaoru seems to be to say that.]

[throe]

Of course, it's for the Stingers! Without popularity, how else will we stay at the top? Riot and Minx could manage the music without me for awhile, but after this...

[ She takes a deep breath and rests her feet on the desk. With her usual fervor, she raises her arms in the air. ]

The Stingers will be the hottest band for decades! We will be an unstoppable force!

[souredsweet]

[that leaves Kaoru in a state of speechless surprise for a few seconds, but in the end... it's kind of comforting, to see Rapture acting like she's done for weeks on end.]

It would seem as though you have your eye set on the end goal, as always. I will hope, then, that these stingers of yours are the hottest that they can possibly be.

[throe]

We don't give up. It's simply not our style.

[ Though Kaoru cannot see it entirely, it should still be assumed there is a smirk after this statement. ]

No one said the game had to be played one single way anyway. The Stingers make their own rules.

[souredsweet]

[there's a brief pause and then Kaoru allows some of the tension that was being held onto to escape.]

If only everyone could possess such confidence... I will trust that you will be able to see yourself through this ordeal, then, if you do not give up.

[throe]

[ Rapture herself takes a moment to take a deep breath. Then, she turns her head to face Kaoru once more with her arms crossed and legs still up on the desk. ]

I don't think you have to worry much about me giving up. It's just not something I — or Minx and Riot — do.

[souredsweet]

[Kaoru stares for a moment; it's a placid but searching look. overall satisfied with Rapture's response, though, a nod soon follows.]

I will believe in what you say, then. [and a smile.] I do not wish to distract you, though; I will take my leave if you are doing well. Please do not forget to eat.
