[Saturday begins much like Friday, with no further answers provided, and no means of escape. However, at 3 PM on Saturday, the old grandfather clock in the foyer begins to chime. From the foyer, the ballroom doors stand open, and the room is bright with sunshine. Soft, dreamy music plays from a radio inside.

Inside the ballroom, what seems to be a magnificent party is laid out. There is a buffet table laden with finger foods - vegetables and dips, finger sandwiches, pastries, fruit, and cheeses. Next to the table are glasses filled with wine, champagne, or juice. Most of the room is empty, with room to stand and talk, although towards the windows looking out on the courtyard are six tables with five place settings each, set for a larger meal.

And then there's a seventh table, at the back of the room, on which are thirty small notebooks. Inside, the notebooks appear to be some sort of album, with each page containing a picture of and information about your fellow guests.

After everyone has filed in, the doors shut and lock behind the final guest; the doors to the courtyard close as well. You'll have some time to talk amongst yourself, for it will be another hour of dining before anyone else appears]

I'm guessing by everyone's reactions that most--or maybe all--of the information on those cards is correct.

[ He sounds pretty numb. In shock, probably. He just stares at his champagne glass as he speaks. ]

Robots and aliens and magic. Is any of that true?

[aozaki]

[oh. well, it's a different reaction from all (most) of the freaking out...]

With all the hectic news given already, would you really like another surprise to top it off?

I don't like surprises. I'd rather just get everyone on the table while we can.

[aozaki]

Fair enough. Then yes, I can at least confirm that magic and sorcery are real. Would you like a demonstration now?

[ Hah, a few months ago--a few days ago, even--he'd be skeptical as all hell. Right now he just... isn't. Things have been too weird. ]

Sure. Just... don't do anything that'll hurt anyone.

[aozaki]

I can't either way, my magic isn't good for anything but party tricks since arrival. If it means anything to you, that's how I knew immediately upon awakening that there were terribly wrong things with this place.

[she shrugs, and turning to face him, draws a symbol in the air. The space where the tip of her index passed leaves a glowing trail too, the first sign of anything supernatural.]

Kenaz.

[That done, her hand drops back to idle by her side. The area where she cast the rune remains lit up, as if someone's hung an invisible lantern right there that's made it just as bright as any other corner of the ballroom where things are properly illuminated by a physical source.

She doesn't say anything, but the unspoken question's obvious. Was that good enough proof?]

[Rin's been nervous about those info cards, remembering how explicitly they detailed how to victimize her. Having it brought up again after the true purpose was revealed... it puts her on edge.]

Umm, I'm the robot, but I'd REALLY appreciate it if that information wasn't used to kill me. I didn't get a complicated writeup of your body anatomy, so it hardly seems fair! ♪

A robot.

[ Altman just sort of stares at her for a moment. She doesn't look a robot, at least not to him, but this is all so weird he doesn't really have room to question things now. ]

I think we're on even ground. Humans aren't hard to kill. We're... [ He frowns slightly, shaking his head. ]

It doesn't take much.

[True, she looks just like any other blond haired blue haired 14 year old Japanese girl. Her synthetic♪ sounding voice is a good indicator, however.

Anyway, that wasn't really the part she wanted to hear consolations of. She'd really rather have preferred a "no, Rin, we won't kill you first because we got the cliffnotes on how to do it"! So now she looks more nervous than before.]

Well, um, it's the principle of the thing... ♪
