[Saturday begins much like Friday, with no further answers provided, and no means of escape. However, at 3 PM on Saturday, the old grandfather clock in the foyer begins to chime. From the foyer, the ballroom doors stand open, and the room is bright with sunshine. Soft, dreamy music plays from a radio inside.

Inside the ballroom, what seems to be a magnificent party is laid out. There is a buffet table laden with finger foods - vegetables and dips, finger sandwiches, pastries, fruit, and cheeses. Next to the table are glasses filled with wine, champagne, or juice. Most of the room is empty, with room to stand and talk, although towards the windows looking out on the courtyard are six tables with five place settings each, set for a larger meal.

And then there's a seventh table, at the back of the room, on which are thirty small notebooks. Inside, the notebooks appear to be some sort of album, with each page containing a picture of and information about your fellow guests.

After everyone has filed in, the doors shut and lock behind the final guest; the doors to the courtyard close as well. You'll have some time to talk amongst yourself, for it will be another hour of dining before anyone else appears]

If it is, it's a pretty lame plan. Are we really supposed to believe the Grand Duchess Anastasia is actually walking amongst us? Or that people named after countries are a thousand years old?

If the information is real, what would be the point of putting it all out there other than to cause suspicion?

Do you know what the plan is? There are thirty people in this notebook, and thirty notebooks. One for each listed individual. There are any number of reasons someone might want everyone to have this information.

[throe]

[ Rapture doesn't respond for a moment as if she is contemplating. She exudes calmness, giving the woman a gentle smile. ]

It's easy to fear the unknown when you don't know what's happening, but panicking only makes it worse. If there is a reason — real information or not — then there's no need to be scared.

The least we can do is figure out our own plan.

[miraculous]

Mm, information like this could have its uses. [Bernkastel takes a sip of wine, having pulled it off of one of the tables.] We've been here for a day and haven't heard anything. Our hosts are being quite rude, don't you think? And yet this place has been prepared for us today.

Perhaps we'll see the plans of whoever called us here soon as well.

[ She places her free hand in the crook of her elbow. ]

I figure it's bound to be some grand entrance to put the spotlight on them. They're probably just getting us "acquainted" with this information so they can steal the show as some publicity stunt after we've all finished arguing about it. Why else would anyone make a mansion look like it's from the 1920s?

[miraculous]

It's a popular era--its conventions have a certain charm to some. [Old-fashioned, but not too far, popular fashion, no cell phones, easy to cut off communication believably...] If our hosts have given us information on each other already, perhaps it would be more entertaining to speculate about them.

Well sure, I mean with the first commercial radio station being created and Bing Crosby's first album and all, it's pretty neat. I think I'd much rather stick with the 80's instead.

I guess if someone really want to be noticed then they'll go out of their way to kidnap a bunch of people just to promote their new album.

[miraculous]

I would hope whatever goals they have would be more interesting than that. [Whoever it is, they seem to have a fair amount of power, at least.] They could be showing off, but they should have the courtesy to put on a show for us as well.

To get all the attention, they have get all the boring stuff out of the way first. If that means putting these cards out to get us to talk about it and mingle before they add pizzazz to their big introduction, they're definitely on the right track.

[miraculous]

There's something to be said for mood, as long as they don't wait so long we grow bored. [She looks down at the notebook in her hands again.] We must be meant to take these.

[throe]

[ Her own notebook is slung loosely in one hand as if it's nothing to her. It seems Rapture's already bored, though not with Bernkastel. ]

Maybe it's meant to be a game like 20 Questions. [ Her lips curl into a smirk. ] What information is real and what isn't.

[miraculous]

After going through so much trouble, if it's that sort of game it won't be fun at all.

[It would be really disappointing.]

If we're to assume it's for a game, though, there are more entertaining options.

[throe]

I don't know, I've been having a bit of fun so far... [ There's a bit of a pause and a tight-lipped smile before she finishes off her glass of wine. In true rockstar fashion, she moves onto another. ] I think it depends on what kind of games you like.

[ She waits for Riot's introduction to kick into Mind Games, but remembers that... she's the only one here. There's no backing music or Minx's vocals falling in with hers. Instead, she covers it with another bout of silence, rather than fumbling over her faux pas. ]

[miraculous]

[Bernkastel's tail twitches twice, at the very tip, in the silence--though that's all the acknowledgment Bernkastel displays.]

I've played enough games that I grow bored if they repeat too often. With an interesting group like this, though, hopefully any games that go on will hold my attention.

[Interesting in many senses of the word, it seems.]

Mn, I'd have to agree that this collective is rather interesting. Your card titles you as a witch, correct? Mine mistakenly omits the same title as well. Though, I couldn't tell you why...

[miraculous]

Yours omits information, then? [Bernkastel looks the woman over with a critical sort of eye.] What kind of witch are you?

It's like I was saying before, not all of the information in here is entirely accurate. It doesn't make sense to reveal everything from the start. Perhaps they want to draw answers out of each other...

I perform ancient rituals passed down from my ancestors. Though, due to having sworn to secrecy to never reveal those rituals and spells, I can't give you a specific answer. I'm sure you understand.

[miraculous]

Of course. [It's difficult to tell if Bernkastel believes her or not.] I suppose it could have escaped their notice.

[throe]

Mn, quite a handful of things are missing actually. "Sadism without remorse" is a nice touch though. [ She laughs lightly as if it's just some silly joke played on her by a good friend. ]

You don't have any objections about yours?

[miraculous]

I may, or I may not. It's more interesting to have to figure it out on your own, I think. [She takes another sip of her wine.]

[throe]

[ She gives a hearty laugh, throwing back her head a bit. ]

So you do like games! Well, it's good to know someone around here enjoys a little fun.

The world would be quite boring without a few games to liven it up.
