This post will cover the weekend period from the end of trial Friday evening to early Sunday evening, when new incentives will be announced. No murders will take place over this time.

Not the words, but the thoughts, you see.

[The personal space violation isn't bothering him so much, although he doesn't seem to be reciprocating in any way, since he is a boy who needs more help than singing Disney animals can provide.]

Words are meaningless in the end, but when they aren't, it is because the sentiment behind them is...worthy. That you would think so, I appreciate.

[teenspirit]

[ She seems touched by his words, brightening visibly. ]

I understand.

[ There's a pause then, and her gaze drops. Should she go for it? She remembers how three weeks ago he had reacted quite negatively when she'd tried to shake hands as an introduction...

Then again, Sonia's always been very direct and bold, having grown up with a sense of always being encouraged to go for the things she wants. So she does ask. ]

Can I hold your hand?

[godwhisperer]

Ah...

[He hesitates, looking at his hand cautiously.]

You see, in some ways, that would be dangerous. But it would be possible, I think. If that is what you would like.

[teenspirit]

It would be. I think I could endure it.

[ She reaches her hand out slowly, just in case he changes his mind. ]

[godwhisperer]

Hmph. Perhaps so.

[He's very cautious about it; he lets her take his hand, the unbandaged one, and he himself moves very slowly and returns the grip either gently or timidly.]

[teenspirit]

[ No signs of poison. Actually, it's just kind of... nice. She clasps his hand in hers, not very tightly, though the temptation is there.

After a moment, she starts laughing softly- quiet, somehow relieved laughter. ]

Ahaha... haha...

[godwhisperer]

[He'll sit and hold her hand back. He's intensely awkward at first, clearly battling some kind of internal struggle, but when she starts to laugh, he'll laugh as well.]

Ahaha! Ahaha! Well done.

[ She wishes that they could stay like this for the rest of the day, until they're all allowed to walk free of this place, and she wants to believe that they'll both be able to leave eventually and have moments like this one in the future. She tells herself that she must keep hope for that. ]

I told you.... I said that I'd show you my power. [ She smiles dreamily. ]

[godwhisperer]

It is most formidable.

[He sits quietly for another moment and then allows himself a small smile. He's not worrying about anything larger, really; he has confidence in his Dark Gods and himself to prevent either of them from being harmed. But this is...the first contact he's had with another human being in a very long time, and that's an important thing. He's happy to share that with her.]

[ Sonia locks her fingers with his. She has forgotten all about the cake and her almost-birthday, but this is preferable anyway. ]

When we go back to Hope's Peak... Let's continue spending time together like this every day.
