Is there a reason you're making a general mess of things apart from irritating me?

[Poland shirks backwards. Frowning should be listed as one of Susan's skills.]

Um... y-yes.

[This conversation could probably be likened to pulling teeth on Poland's part.]

And this reason would be...?

[A slight pause.]

A chronic hatred of orderly stacks of books?

[That makes Poland throw his hands on his hips.] Hey, I'm totally putting them back.

I'm looking for the secret passageways.

[inthebones]

[Susan's eyebrow rises even higher at that pronouncement.]

If there were secret passageways in this house, I would check somewhere that weren't so well populated. It's not secret if you can't use it without stumbling over someone reading a book.

It's like almost ten something, most people should be in bed by now anyways. [He rubs his eyes tiredly. Poland's kind of exhausted himself at this point, he's been up since 5 AM. If he's wasting his time looking in here he'll quit and try again in the morning.]

Why where would you look?

I'd try the basement, actually. ...The pantry is dim enough, and there are lots of shelves that could slide out of the way.

If I have time tomorrow, maybe. [Definitely not now. And never by himself.]
