This post will cover the weekend period from the end of trial Thursday evening to early Sunday evening, when new incentives will be announced. No murders will take place over this time.
Friday Morning - Ballroom at 8am
Next to her plate of food, practically untouched, is the notebook. It isn't flipped to the notecards of the other people, but to a page full of scratched out lines of things she was writing before she didn't like how they read. She won't make mention of it, but what she's writing is a will. Just in case. But her sight is more trained on the "watch" attached to her left wrist, a very foolish mistake that she can't seem to recognize. She's just glad that she was cured of Radical-6 before she came here...she feels things would be a lot worse if that was still in her system.]

...I'd offer a drink to clear your head, but you look like you'd be better off back in bed, Alice. Did you sleep at all, last night?
[she'll speak up casually at least, although not without a degree of severity, considering all that's happened of late.]

Barely. [She eyes the tea and mutters a small "thank you", before carefully moving it by her plate.] I don't know what this person trapping us is trying to play at, but this has gotten out of hand.

It was shaping out to be like this from the start; this is stacked like a castle of cards.
[...]
Do you think the claims are true, though? That our entire situation is supposed to pass off as some sort of reality TV show?

[She picks up her tea cup and sips it a tiny bit, to taste how hot the water is, and puts it down so she can fold her hands on the table.]
There have been reports years ago of rich billionaires who would make games and pay people to play in them, just so they can jeer and laugh at what happens. Only in our case there's no consent.

[looking a little annoyed, she sits down nevertheless, glancing at the notebook alice was pouring over. ... huh, is this
what she thinks it is...]
This court system shouldn't be legal in most places on Earth, anyhow. [raising an eyebrow at that, though.] You'd expect billionaires to buy slaves for their amusement. There were consent, in those reports?

[Especially because of her theory that someone inside the mansion is possibly working for this "Hostess", much like how Zero III was just a stand-in for the real Zero. There's no telling how much they know, so it's better to keep it as quiet as possible.]

Hah...my idiot had blonde hair as well, right down to the bottom of his neck, and wore an obnoxious top hat to boot. Do you think they might be related?

We went to school together, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have siblings. He's always had his hime cut, but he grew it out to reach his back, apparently. I would also hope no one else in any world would share his stock of genes. He's got delusions of grandeur and too many personality problems to list, if we're going to make a list for comparisons. What are the odds?
[are we going to dip into the morphogenic fields too at this rate]

Look, feel free to tell me to butt out if it's none of my business or anything, but that poison bracelet you've got on there...is there any way to take it off without killing you? We've got a bunch of people here with weird powers and skills, so maybe they can find a way. It just seems like a huge risk and really unfair that you're walking around with a freaking death trap on your wrist.
no subject
You're telling me. [Her eyes look back down to the bracelet for a moment and then back to him, her gaze conflicted.] If I knew a way to remove it I would get it off already. But it's too risky. The drugs loaded in this bracelet will kill me within minutes if the bracelet is triggered and the only way I was told it can come off is if my heart rate drops to zero. I have no way to prove it, but I trust the threats of the person who put it on me to know they aren't likely to be lying.
...Besides, better it stay on me than it coming off and someone trying to steal it for their own use.
no subject
Well, we've got a girl here who can evidently transform objects, so I'd worry about getting it off at all first before thinking about how to dispose of it.
If it's just your heart rate dropping to zero...maybe there's a way we can do that without killing you? If we could start it back up again right after it comes off...

May's card says she can heal, and the countries probably picked up first aid if they've really been around for thousands of years. It's something worth thinking about, at least.
