The Disc isn't quite ready for your kind of music yet, but I expect we can't resist it forever. It will only be a matter of time before Music With Rocks In rears its head again.

...What on earth does rolling have to do with anything?

[Not that rocks had anything to do with it, either.]

I mean whatever you were singing before. Perhaps the terminology is slightly different.

You know... I think I heard somewhere that it was called rock and roll because that's what happens when someone is possessed by demons. Rock music itself is always heavily associated with Satanism in the first place that it's not that far of a stretch, I guess.

...That's absurd. Demons have much better things to do than rolling about on the ground; no one has time for that sort of nonsense. If it were named after demonic possession, the music would be called 'Be As Subtly Corruptive As You Can While Assembling Lackies To Wage Eternally Fruitless Power Struggles.'

Yeah, but not everyone understands the real facts about demonology, so they have to equate two things they neither know nor understand together.

You really should hear what some people say about our songs... though I can't disagree that some divine spirits have a little influence to do with the Stingers. Just not the way they think.

...I suppose the name wouldn't be quite as catchy, true.

[Susan is perfectly well aware of the benefits of letting people continue to believe in their delusions.]

And if you're going to say that you're inspired in the opposite direction, I can't say that the gods are very interested in composing song lyrics, either.

I don't look to them for song lyrics, I look to them for inspiration! Riot is divine enough, but I still seek the help of divine spirits to help us radiate our aura of natural charismatic sureness on stage to everyone in the audience or to gain energy before a rehearsal.

[ No, she just really does it because having a mysterious, occult edge from one member really helps with their image. ]
