...It won't work.

The Hostess is complacent in these deaths, but killing her wouldn't save us. She doesn't control this - I wager she's punished herself when something goes wrong. I wouldn't go so far as to say we'd be killing an innocent, but it wouldn't accomplish our goal, either.

Before another trial takes place, we must do everything we can to reach those who do have the power.

But the hostess is still the one who controls when the trapdoor is opened and sends the culprit to their death, yes? Then we prevent her from doing so and hold her hostage. They cannot continue to run this game without her!
