[As promised, on Sunday morning at 9 AM, the grandfather clock in the foyer begins to chime. The doors to the drawing room are left open, although the doors to the smoking room adjacent are locked. Set out in the drawing room is a fine selection of coffee, tea, fruit, and pastries. There are also enough chairs, lounges, and sofas for everyone to have a seat.

Once everyone has filed in, the doors to the drawing room will close and lock]

This is an NPC post as well as an open mingle. Players may reply to the NPC, or may discuss the game amongst themselves. Players will be locked in the room until 10 AM. Please see the plot and in character rule pages below. Anyone wishing to submit a murder for the week must do so by Monday at 9 PM EST.

[a small but weighted pause.] I would truly, truly like to believe that not a single person here would. I do not wish to think badly of anyone I have yet to speak with or meet...

Could at least one in thirty of their number prove to be a killer? Did someone here lose a memory that important?

...No. More importantly, did the people that removed their memories take one that would be that important?

How easy was it to manipulate a person? Herself? Someone else? Kaoru? They were all strangers here... only the ones running it could know all the answers.]

[Kaoru's voice carries a grim sort of determination next.]

...It may not be the most prudent choice, but I have determined to trust as much as I can without putting myself at risk. I believe that suspicion may be damaging in the long run, even if it could also aid in self-preservation. [another quiet pause.] Even if it is statistically unlikely, I will hope that the people here are all good and strong. I have already talked to many like that, after all.

...You're right. We just need to get out of here. All of us.

I will return to the library when I can to see if anything in there has information we might be able to use to aid our escape. Outside of that, I can currently think of nothing that may help...

I wasn't able to look much earlier, so I hope there might be. It seemed like a large place, after all.
