[ She coughs into it. ]

Nuh-uh. [ She shakes her head. ] Haven' they ever read a... whatchacallit... mmmm, a whodunit? It's never the person who seems obvious... No offense, but you are definitely pretty obvious...

[inthebones]

My talents are put to waste as a schoolteacher, I see. I've missed my calling in organizing and manipulating people all across Ankh-Morpork into committing elaborate murders for my own amusement. If only I'd found out sooner.

[Susan will bring the soup closer to the edge of the tray towards Sonia.]

...I know you might not be in the mood to eat, but you should try to get something down.

[teenspirit]

A teacher? [ Sonia laughs; it turns into a wretched cough. ] You- you must be hella efficient!

[ She looks down at the soup, a little nervously. ] Ah... eheh... N-not hungry...

...Oh.

Yes, there's that consideration as well.

[Susan frowns slightly.]

Do you think you're well enough to go into the ballroom for meals? If you don't eat, you'll grow weaker more quickly.

[teenspirit]

I can do it! If not... we can bring my horse inside again!

[ Is she joking? Who knows. ]

...We wouldn't want her getting ill now, either.

[Sensible Susan is hardly offended by Sonia's refusal. She'll stoop and leave the hot water bottle wrapped up in a blanket by Sonia's bed.]

I can promise you that I'd poison someone else first, if it helps.

I just... do not wan' to be a burden to anyone... 'Specially since we are all sick, yes?

It's quite alright. If I were thrashing about and dying of delirium, I'd probably still refuse to eat anything I didn't prepare myself.
