You know, I just had a thought: if Clyde was killed in his room, it means whoever killed him had to be wearing their costume in some way with the rules. Maybe checking suspects clothes can show blood somehow.

( Carefully, he'll check Clyde's body for a pocket knife. To be honest, he isn't expecting to find a letter opener because who takes a letter opener with them. He'll check any pockets again and check around the body to see if maybe it was dropped in a struggle. )

If the knife and letter opener are missing and the drawer was locked when we found it, chances are they could have been used to kill Clyde. I would think if they aren't in his drawer then they would be on his person - his card did mention being useful with "improvised" weapons.
