[The Hostess will be quite pleased that no one has committed any flagrant violation of the rules, Susan is sure. Given that nothing is out of the ordinary here, she will pick up her skirts (an action she has never imagined having to do in her life) and head next door to the billiards room.

The billiards table and the various games will receive a thorough examination, as will, of course, the magician's box. Susan will note if anything is out of place apart from the rope which she has hidden and the tape.]

[...Well. As she herself had said only a few days ago, Lydia had died from drowning without any blood involved. And she doubted anyone had accidentally bled into the magic box. Susan will carefully remove each item from the box to see if any of them are more bloody than the rest. The cards will be opened and the trick hat will be thoroughly turned inside and out.]

[A slight frown. ...As none of the items were missing, the best assumption she can make is that one of the items had been used and replaced. Susan will decide to take the box with her to present to the trial in case the killer decides to return to tamper with evidence for one reason or another.

Well, she had done her job for the day. Time to see how the others were getting along.]
