[After a long moment, Poland takes off his over coat and tries to maneuver the charred limb on to it so he can take it back to the house with out touching it.

And... then hesitantly goes to look at the small pile of ash.]

[There's nothing particularly noteworthy about it, it's just sitting there near the charred limb, but being scattered by the breeze.]

[Poland studies the fence, wondering if the limb was thrown up against it to make it so charred.

And maybe to put off the inevitable fact that he has to transport a freaking charred limb all the way back to the house.]

[There's nothing to indicate whether or not that happened. It doesn't seem impossible.]

[It's probably impossible to tell from just looking with black wrought iron bars. He'll drape his handkerchief over a pencil he keeps with him to write in his notebook before dragging it up and down the bars where he found the leg to keep from shocking himself.]

[Poland doesn't want to leave the ash pile outside to deal with the elements just incase it is important, so he'll try to scoop up as much as he can with his handkerchief and pin it closed with his brooch. He'll put it on the coat with the limb as well and start dragging it back to the house.]
