Wednesday

[10AM ; Conservatory

She's not even smoking today, focused on sprucing some order back into the conservatory that SOME nation ruined some time ago.

Once she's done, on the glass table, she sets down a statue with remarkable detail, except the woman's clothes drape down to shape a small bowl of sort. The inside is filled with water; just... decoration. (Or maybe it has something to do with constellation and planet elements... who knows.)

She did make a certain promise last week, is all.

8PM ; Bar

[Sitting down for a smoke, she's knocking back with a glass of red wine looking rather content.]

That was a pleasantly uneventful day, hm?

[It's true! Not that she was hardly ever fazed by much, but who DOESN'T appreciate calm and quiet after all the chaos of the past few weeks? Maybe they'll REALLY have a peaceful week this time, after all.]

Thursday

[8:30AM ; Conservatory

After getting out of bed and running into Spain, she's headed to check the Conservatory. It's close by after all; she doesn't plan to duck out for long, not after last time. If a quick search yields nothing, she plans to return to the ballroom and probably head for the kitchen.]

[aw HOW NICE, TOUKO. Kaoru, who has made it a habit to keep up with the morning schedule even with Kanaya missing, nods once she starts setting about her work.]

Good morning, Miss Aozaki.

[Touko is not an early riser


actually that's a lie she sleeps and gets up whenever she feels like... who's surprised]

Good morning, Nagumo-san. Came here to relax?

I did, yes. I often retire to the conservatory in the morning hours after breakfast has finished. [a smile!] The ambiance is very good for ridding oneself of stressful energy, I believe.

[aozaki]

A cat would probably love it here, it's an ideal sunbathing spot. [no this isn't related to anything...] I admit I don't come here too often, but maybe I really should, in the future!

[souredsweet]

[too bad the only cat in their manor kind of died a while back geez

but Kaoru seems to agree with the sentiment at least, nodding with some enthusiasm.] I would suggest it. The plants are enjoyable and the temperature is always pleasant.

I don't do well with idle hands, I admit, but I could try to work on a few things here. It's closest to my wing, too. Do you do anything here? Bring a book, maybe?

The lighting provided would be enough to see with ease, I would imagine. Ah, but, normally I just sit and enjoy the company of others or the flowers.

[aozaki]

Enjoy the company of flowers? [She chuckles.] Do you talk to them?

[souredsweet]

I have not thought to do so... Is that a common practice? [IT SOUNDS BIZARRE.] I simply enjoy the way they look. I have not seem many of the flowers in here before.

OOPS... wow that's the first time this ever happened

It's actually good for them. The plants breathe the air we exhale, so talking to plants isn't unheard of for those who enjoy gardening. I don't know if it's common, I'm not acquainted with many who has hobby in gardening, but the technical fact is relatively well-known. In my time period, at any rate.

Ah... I was not aware. [huh. you learn something new every day!]

I suppose that I will try it later, if that is truly the case... Though it seems a silly thing to do, if I am honest.

Haha, somewhat. Do you care for the scientific explanation?

[souredsweet]

[SURE WHY NOT they've got time to burn.]

If you would enlighten me, certainly.

[aozaki]

We breathe an element in the air called oxygen, it's what the human body absolutely needs in order to live. After we process it, what we exhale is called carbon dioxide, think of it like exhaust after fuel has been burnt. Burning coal produces large amounts of it too, the body tosses it out because it's useless to it after and unhealthy to let it pile up.

Green plants, on the other hand, are capable of a process called photosynthesis. During the day, it has the property to take in carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight, turning the output into oxygen. In other words, it's capable of changing exhaust back into fuel. That's why they're so vital to life, and given that we breathe out when we talk, the symbiotic relationship is beneficial to plant and person alike.

[so how's that for someone centuries behind modern science times...]

[MAGIC, PRETTY MUCH. Kaoru looks legitimately fascinated by this explanation...]

My, what a wonderful thing! I wish that I had known it sooner... But it is better to start late.

Thursday

[The conservatory seems to be in order. Some of the plants are missing flowers, but no horrible body parts stand out.

The ballroom is also a respite from the search.]

( Spain tries to hold back a yawn but it's no use. He's taken a few siestas in the conservatory before so he notices some of the flowers are missing but he doesn't think twice about it, )

Hm? I guess someone picked some flowers earlier... I don't see anything here.

[aozaki]

It's been like this for a while. [She pinches the bridge of her nose for a beat.] Back into the parlor, then. There might be something in the fireplace.

[TO THE PARLOR

searching as two people is quicker. anything that sticks out?]

[The fireplace is still very sooty from the week before. But in terms of body parts lying around, there doesn't seem to be anything.]

[aozaki]

[Moving on to the foyer and then the Dining Room! One of the lesser visited places, as far as she can tell, but worth a quick sweep before they end up in the kitchen. That would be the whole first floor covered, at least.]

[these rooms seem to be relatively clean.]

Wednesday

[tsarcasm]

[ Upon seeing Touko, Anya slides into a seat at the bar, responding: ]

Uneventful, maybe. I'm not so sure about pleasant. If anything, this makes me feel more like something really bad is about to happen.

[aozaki]

[She'll brighten up and give the younger redhead a nod! Definitely not turning down company, and who cares about being underage or not.]

I'm grateful for every moment of quiet, I'll be happy to take any that we can get. Still, that's quite a pessimistic view to hold. Do you really have a bad feeling about things, miss Anya?

[tsarcasm]

At this point it's hard not to when the middle of the week rolls around. [ She pours herself a glass of wine, but doesn't drink, only swishes the liquid around in the bottom of the glass, staring at it idly. ]
