[At 9 AM precisely, the old grandfather clock chimes once again, and the doors to the drawing room are opened. They will remain open until everyone has come inside, after which they will shut behind them. It is not possible to leave on your own, although perhaps if you have a specific purpose the hostess will allow you to go, as long as you are accompanied by a partner.

The room is set up comfortably, with several tables by the fireplace set out to assist with the trial. The Hostess will also remain in a seat near the fireplace, next to the scales on the mantle. At lunch, the doors will open to bring in a large meal on an automatically rolling buffet, and at 3 PM, tea and finger sandwiches will be served. You'll be able to enjoy the trial in comfort, of course, but the information cards set out on tables will not allow you to forget your true purpose here.

At 7 PM, the trial will adjourn for the day. Players will be escorted by the Hostess to the ballroom, where dinner and wine will be served until 10 PM, at which point players will be required to return to their wings in groups with their wingmates and will be locked in their bedrooms until 8:30 AM the following morning.]

Talking to her like she's a confused animal and patting her on the back. Jesus Christ.]

It's okay.

[ Because she is not an animal, and is instead a rather emotional and dramatic teenage girl, Sonia takes his touching her as an invitation to do a half turn and then begin crying dramatically into his coat. It is not even a unique thing for teenagers to do. It would be a typical scene for the head cheerleader and football star after a losing high school game, but as it is, they are just two wannabe gothic weirdos at a murder trial. ]

[He's not sure what's happening, maybe she flew into a rage at his ineptitude and is trying to strangle him? Who can say. But wow this is a lot of touching but it seems like a bad time to shove her and run away so he lets her and awkwardly pats her back.]

[ And they say Edward Cullen wasn't a good boyfriend.

This will continue for a few minutes. Just wait it out. ]

[Screaming inside the entire time.]

[ Finally, she lets go, and Sun-D will have appeared somewhere in her hair, having likely tried to flee the moment she found herself squashed between her owner and his Queen of Calamity or Catastrophe or whatever she is this hour. ]

...

I feel better now. [ Jesus. ]

[godwhisperer]

Ah, I see.

[He doesn't have much to say about that. He'll pluck Sun-D out of her hair and look down at her, because it's much easier to comfort hamsters.]

That one was your friend, in this place?

I... [ She can't really explain it. Not now. ]

I understand why she did it, I think...

[He nods. He felt sympathetic towards her as well.]

She made a vow she intended to keep at all costs...it is not disgraceful.

And to execute her so cruelly... I cannot believe it...

At first... those that chose to kill seemed so selfish... But now...

[godwhisperer]

They are not selfish. She chose to sacrifice two lives for the potential lives of thousands. Not all would do the same, but it is not the wrong choice, either. After all, the one she chose certainly believed in the terms of the game.
