Yeah. I mean it wasn't so bad, we're totally cool enough to hang out by ourselves without it getting boring.
[Poland scratches his head to think.] Um... I guess so. I got a bigger house out of it anyways. [To be honest Poland can't remember who he married. It's kind of frustrating.]

half of Poland's lingo is like sailing so far into the sky over Kaoru's head but a valiant effort is made to piece things together, regardless.]
Do you think so? I suppose there is some merit to being comfortable in the company of one. [also misinterpreting that as "the house was the best part" which seems kind of tragic...! Poland!!] I hope that it was a house you enjoyed greatly, at the very least.

I... um. [Poland's fingers fumble the braid a bit. As much as he'd like to get out of this house he's not really sure what or who he'd be going back to... which is an entirely different kind of scary for him.] I hope so too.
What about you are you married to anyone? What's your house like?

that wording doesn't slip by, though; it's a good thing the whole memory loss schtick is well known and that Kaoru has enough tact to leave the topic alone. still, he gets a sympathetic look, brow creased and smile muted.]
I will wish the best for you. [which is all Kaoru will say on that before quietly moving on with the change in topic.] I am not married and I do not know that I will ever be. My house... is also nothing grand, though it is a comfortable enough location. The house that I lived in when I was younger, though... I have a feeling that you may have enjoyed it as much as I. There were meadows filled with wild flowers surrounding it on all sides, and a mountain range behind it.

[Poland stifles a snort.] Yeah, like I don't think you have to wonder about not ever being able to get married. You can probably snatch up whoever you want like [Finger snap.] that.
Oh my god your old house sounds so cute! Why'd you leave?
no subject
My... That is quite a compliment, Lord Polska. I can only hope that someone will allow me to give them my hand, someday.
[the question brings a somewhat wistful look. while winding a few more flowers into the forming crown:] Unfortunately, a wild fire burned it to the ground and we were forced to move.

[Losing something as important as a house isn't something Poland can relate to, but it sounds awful.] Wow, sorry. That really sucks.
no subject
Thank you for your sympathy. [assuming that's what the phrase means KAORU DOESN'T KNOW.] I miss it at times, but I am glad that no one was harmed. That is the most important thing.
no subject
[Kaoru can learn a whole new language as long as Poland says alive isn't that great?]
Of course that's like the most important thing, but still. I dunno what I'd do if I lost my home and all my stuff.
no subject
[SO AMUSED oh no. stay alive forever Poland.] Ah, well, it is indeed an unpleasant experience. There is plenty of time to accumulate new things, though, and we were fortunate to know a good number of people who helped us through the ordeal.
no subject
Oh so you're like popular back home too?
no subject
Ah, I would not say that. My uncle is a well-known doctor, so many people helped him in his time of need, and us in turn, for all of the help he had given.
