Y-yes, you're right. To say nothing may be even worse than saying the wrong thing. By figuring out what is false, we may be able to eventually find the path to the truth.

Precisely so. Mourning Miss Ukraine is only proper, but it would be a disservice to her if her death has made us so cautious that we do not say a thing in trial.

Yes. What happened to Miss Ukraine...we cannot allow it to happen again. We will not. Anyone who chooses to play along with this game will have to face justice.

[her determination is reflected back in a brief, curt nod. Kaoru's actually vaguely curious about May's opinion of Annie and those defending her, but leaves that unasked for now.]

It may be a struggle at points, but we will learn from our mistakes, and we must carry onward regardless. For the sake of the innocents who have already died, those who would bloody their hands will not be treated lightly.
