This post will cover the weekend period from the end of trial Friday evening to early Sunday evening, when new incentives will be announced. No murders will take place over this time.

No child should be a soldier. They haven't developed the maturity or the psychological defenses to handle it, as we've obviously experienced now first hand.

Hey, I agree with you. I'm not one for politics or the military, it's why I became a musician. [ She gives a little smirk at that, then sighs. ] I mean, imagine if Riot had stayed in the military...

Anyway, it still doesn't change the fact that she did it in the first place.

Yes, this isn't about Annie. This is about how everyone is stupid enough to keep playing along with this silly game. Myself included.

What if we all just agreed to ignore this for one week - as an experiment. And we see what happens. Perhaps the world will end if no one is killed; wouldn't that be exciting?

You can get people to agree, but it won't mean that they'll abide by it.

Unless it's a contract signed in blood. [ The way she suggests it sounds like if she is referring to the weather or what to pick up at the grocery store. ]

...Are you saying you would abide by a contract signed in blood?

I wouldn't have suggested it if I wasn't including myself.

I can have something drafted in 10 minutes.

[Susan will do this. She is totally doing this.]

You really think everyone else will go along with it? Considering how everyone's been acting, they might end up thinking it's the next crime.

[inthebones]

I'll take one person at a time, thank you, and if this is what will get you personally to agree to this for a week, I'm perfectly satisfied with that.

One must pick one's battles.

Would you like me to write my reminder of "Murdering people isn't my style" in blood as well?

Certainly, if you'd like. You could also write something about how the spirits you commune with will curse you for a thousand years if you do otherwise; I think that'd fit nicely.

[ Susan is certainly no Astral, but she may as well be. Perhaps throwing down Houdini's gloves to call a duel of magic is next. ]

That isn't why. I've bonded with many spirits in this life and past ones, but my reason is unrelated to my abilities.

I know. I was confabulating off the top of my head for the sole purpose of being irritating.

[At least she is honest.]

[ She smirks. ]

[ Really she just wants to sign a contract in her own blood because how cool would that be. ]

[Susan is as good as her word. She will return with a short, neatly-penned document, a small container of vodka, and her pocket knife.]

If you die from some horrific blood-borne disease, by the way, let it be known that I did my best to sterilize the whole process.

[On this happy note, Susan will slide everything over to Rapture.]

Sunday, Week 3
I, Phoebe Ashe, more commonly known by Rapture, do hereby agree to withhold all thought and action of bodily violence or harm on this third week of my stay in this manor.

[ Thankfully, being a professional con-woman allows her to recognize other people's truths and lies, as well. Susan's certainly not stupid, she knows as much, and she can tell she's seriously about all of it — the pact, the sterilized knife, the contract itself.

Rapture examines it for a moment. It's simple enough, nothing like the contracts that she's used to. ]

Alright. [ Without hesitance, she takes the knife and gently slides it against her pointer finger. It's light enough to not leave a scar, but deep enough to manage to write Rapture in her own blood... though not as neatly as she would have with a pen. Still, it's fairly clear to see it is her signature. ] Es muss sein!

[ With a mischievous smirk, she brings her finger to her mouth so that the blood doesn't drop anywhere. ]

...Perfectly satisfactory.

[Susan says in as business-like tone as she can manage after having drafted a contract for someone to sign in blood. She hands Rapture some paper towel.]

Put pressure on your finger for a few minutes. The wound should clot within a half hour, but I'd avoid any tasks that require dexterity for a few hours yet.

[Definitely a schoolteacher.]

Well. Time to work on the other 22 contracts, then.

[ Taking the paper towels, she does as such. She will find a bandaid later, but for now she will admire the healing in her own strange fashion. She can hardly wait to tell Riot and Minx about it. ]

What happens if everyone signs it and a murder still happens? Besides the obvious execution, there's not much you can do.

[inthebones]

I shall summon the spirits of justice to torment their souls even past their bodily deaths.

[A slight pause.]

Alternatively, I'll dedicate the entirety of the trial to making sarcastic comments with ever-increasing scorn directed at the perpetrator until death seems a preferable option.

[throe]

Maybe even a cursed gem and let them carry it beyond the grave to haunt them even in the afterlife. A fate worse than death itself!

...Perhaps I'll let you think of the punishment. You're much better at it than I am.
