This post will cover the weekend period from the end of trial Friday evening to early Sunday evening, when new incentives will be announced. No murders will take place over this time.

What a strange thing to have as a sauce. [which is a polite way of saying "THAT'S WEIRD AND GROSS", but Kaoru will place the container back on the condiment tray without bothering to sample any of it.

a second later:] ...How are you feeling this morning, Miss Aihara? If you do not mind my asking.

[hey she agrees with you WHAT ARE PANCAKES

...that next question deflates her though]

[the pancakes are what Kaoru stares at in vague confusion every morning wondering whether or not today will be the day to try them, tbh.

but Kaoru seems to deflate a little at that answer, too. head dipped in mild apology:] It was a foolish question to ask. Still... if there is anything that I can do to ease your troubles, please let me know. [a beat.] Would you like to come with me to the kitchen? I could make you tea.

[mystical pancakes from another world~

...the offer of tea makes her chuckle wearily.]

I suppose.

When you are finished, then.

[this said with a small nod indicating the toast Yuzu is picking at. seems like neither of them have much appetite.]

[terriblesister]

[...well at least now she has a reason to actually eat it, even if it's gone cold. Yuzu nods and starts crunching away.]

[souredsweet]

[Kaoru will wait patiently until she's done! and even manage to pick at a little more food, but it's not very enthused. there's no reason to stick around, really, outside of keeping Yuzu company while she finishes her toast and because traveling in pairs or groups to areas like the kitchen seems wise now.]

[doesn't it just...

Yuzu finishes... relatively quickly, but noticing her friend is still picking at their own plate makes her pause]

...Not eating yourself?

[souredsweet]

I am afraid that my appetite has not quite returned to what it once was. [and Kaoru ate like a bird to begin with. still, a reassuring smile is offered.]

Perhaps after the tea is made, I will make myself a piece of toast to enjoy it with, as well.
