(She's up for breakfast, which is unusual, and she decides maybe she'll have her coffee outside. But when she goes out, she notices him there.)

[ Altman looks up sharply, expression suddenly tense and almost afraid, and it takes a moment of staring at her before he starts to relax. ]

I. It's...

[ He holds it up. ]

It's a spoon.

[ Plain metal, standard cafeteria issue, only the head has been very crudely sharpened. ]
