Actually... You get to the basement through the kitchen, so I musta ran right by it. [he groans.] I didn't even think to look in there! I was jus' lookin' for the killer. Turns out she did it four hours before. That blood thing seriously chumped me, yo.

I bet it's under the sink or somethin', we can pick it up on the way.

Seriously? I haven't actually been down there yet. Probably should have explored it more, but I've seen enough horror flicks to know that the basement is the one place you do not want to head when murder is going on.

[He pats Beat awkwardly on the shoulder.] Hey, it's not your fault, none of us managed to figure out she used poison until it was too late. But yeah, let's grab it and dump it before anyone else gets any funny ideas.

True that. Ain't much down there anyway, other than a bunch of boxes and a nastyass rat. Nothing worth riskin' your neck over.

[He seems mildly appreciative of the pat, awkward though it may be.]

Aight. Hold up, [he'll check around until he finds where Annie put the poison] There we go. The rest is down there!
