...Thank you, Miss Aihara. Truly, I thank you. I do not feel as though my presence here is contributing much, but if you believe that I am doing all right, I will try my best to ensure that I truly am.

[ Once she is assured the question has been asked, Rapture pulls the deck back toward her and taps it on the table. A card slips up from the center (thanks to the trick deck) and she places it down before her. She does this four more times until there are five cards splayed out before them: a Queen of Hearts, a Four of Clubs, an Eight of Spades, a Three of Hearts, and an Ace of Spades. ]

The center card is the general, present theme, which — for you — is the Queen of Hearts. It's the card of a loyal, trustworthy woman who always plays fair.

Mm. [a nod, and Kaoru tries to look a little less glum.] ...Even so, with people like Miss Aihara here, I believe that it is possible to overcome this situation and the stress it is bringing.

[Once having pulled her hand back, she can't help despite herself but lean forward a little and watch Rapture work with rapt attention. ...It HAS been a while, hasn't it? But with the stress and craziness of everything, Touko doesn't mind if she ends up looking like a little girl's first time at a country fair: a bit too hyped and eager for a woman her age.]

[HILARIOUSLY ENDEARING... but Kaoru looks a little embarrassed too since that is the kind of reaction that can make a person feel self conscious okay!]

Ah... Please forgive my boldness, but you are an inspiration, to be carrying onward so bravely in this situation. You are using your popularity to help us all and you helped even before then. To be frank, I believe that you are measurable to Miss Sto Helit in terms of people to look up to.

[ Rapture is all about captivating her audience, so she's definitely reveling in Touko's interest. The reactions of others are what fuels her to do these sort of things in the first place. ]

This is the card of past influence. [ She taps the card to the left of the Queen. It's the Four of Clubs. ] It plays an important part of the reasons that have led you to your present and what has an effect on the choices you make, especially for what you've asked the divine spirits.

The Four of Clubs signifies someone turning against you... or getting in your way, thus causing misfortune in your life.

[Poland is just side eyeing you so hard right now Kanaya. As he slowly inches away.]

Are... you all right, Miss Aihara? [oh no, brow creasing in concern! Kaoru's head dips in apology.] I am sorry if that was too forward.

[She bows in greeting.] Good morning!

No one yet. Although, if you continue sleeping in unlocked rooms you might tempting the willpower of one of the house's less scrupulous residents.

[SHE WILL KEEP IT UP. Divination wasn't much her cup and she's pretty starkly aware that anything can be true as long as you interpret it under an angle that fits you, this is how muggle normal people astronomy and zodiacs worked. It's another matter entirely when actual sorcery is involved, but she's left that part of her life behind, having never taken an interest in that particular field anyway.

UNTIL THEN! Getting your fortune read is definitely among some of the most exciting times she's yet to come across in this manor; she'll enjoy the moment, if it's all the same to everyone else.

Nodding!]

Uh-huh, of course. The past shapes the present, no matter what we've been through before. [although at that TURNING and MISFORTUNE part HER FACE CAN'T HELP BUT SCRUNCH UP A LITTLE...] That's still a little too accurate for comfort though, and I'd rather not think back to that period of my life and have it spoil the moment. Can we move on?

Of course. We'll move onto your future. [ She moves onto the card right of the Queen. ] Easy enough to understand.

[ She raises her eyebrows a bit, making a small hm of interest. There is a slight pause as she mulls over its meaning. ] You should keep an eye out for the relationships you make... there's more betrayal and a promise of false friendship, especially when it's relevant to the answers you seek with your question.

You're in luck though, this also means it can be avoided if you manage to catch it early on.

[...Can't help but chuckle at that, though. It's a little backward, maybe, but honest.]

I'm thankful for the warning, but wouldn't a reading like that just about apply to every person here, given the sort of situation we've all been straddled with?

It all depends on the question they ask and how they ask it. Someone who asks 'Will I live?' may get an entirely different answers from the divine spirits than someone who asks 'Who will murder me?' [ She smiles. ] It also depends on the person asking.

That should all come together in the next card. [ Her hand falls to the card below the Queen. ] This is the card of the subconscious: Reason. The reason that brought you to the circumstances you are questioning and will help you through the obstacles it presents.

The Three of Hearts signifies an unwise decision, made without proper information in haste. It is also a chance for betterment. Even made in haste, you shouldn't overlook the opportunities given to you on the spot. This may go in conjunction with your future card.

Hum, that makes sense. Someone asking "will I live?" may be worried over their own life, but someone who asks "who will murder me" would come off as way more paranoid. Intention probably accounts for a great deal!

[...That does prompt her to sober up a little with a thoughtful look, though. Haha... Unwise decision, given the sort of question she picked? It's almost making it sound like she got here because she jumped on a bad vacation spot deal. Which she might actually legit be prone to doing, but details. Funny outside the context, but not so funny within.]

Oh, no. Not at all! But it's still not a good idea to pass out anywhere outside of your room by yourself. We don't have to get up early either, there isn't exactly anything pressing going on. [if you discount the "we gotta kill each other for national entertainment" part.] I mean, you could've slept in, if you wanted?
