I do all types, but my 'optimum genres' are Rock, Pop, and Dance. My favorite songs are the kind that tell a story. ♪

[Beat's mostly just joking around, since he doesn't really expect him to teach them skateboarding. It's a nice distraction from what he was thinking about earlier, though, so he'll just keep showing interest.]

Some people are just like that, although you can't exactly blame them, given the circumstances these days. [She ducks her head with a faint smile.] Rapture, right? Would you consider yourself a night owl?

Okay, good. If she's familiar enough with this substance to divine its purity with temperature alone then there's no way there can be a chemical mishap on her watch.

Is there a reason you're making a general mess of things apart from irritating me?

[Without sitting down, she unravels a pair of shin length women's slacks, slightly stained at the hem.]

There's not much I can jog in, here. Is here a way to shorten the hem without undoing the seams? [She asks earnestly, the period style baffling her.]

Ohh. I can imagine it wouldn't be... folk music seems to vary quite a bit from country to country. And I guess by "old" you mean you're from a different time period too? ♪

[Just like Kaoru, she thinks. Rin sits down by her laptop (which had been playing the music) and tries to figure out if she has anything remotely comparable.]
