[Sure enough at one point when she mechanically gets up to substitute her book for another, she sees Marlow searching through the shelves. Oh, it's the other literature-inclined girl. Not getting another book when hers is put back, she initiates conversation instead.]

You know, I haven't even determined what course of study would be the most productive to pursue in this place.
