murder manor - reunion part II

murder manor reunion

[You are in a darkened theater.

In front of you is an enormous cinema screen. On it plays video of the manor, accompanied by appropriate sound effects and background instrumentals when fitting. The seat you're sitting on is large and plush, and while there's many of them, there's enough room in the theatre for you to fully recline the seat into a comfortable bed if you wish.

Follow the stairs up and you'll reach what should be the projection room. There are no projectors in here, however; it is simply a large and well-lit room above the main seating area, and a good place to hang out with your fellow eliminated contestants if shouting at each other across the aisles proves too much to handle.

If you leave the theatre through the door in the back, you'll find yourself in a hall. On one end is a concession stand. It's stocked with standard movie snacks - popcorn, candy and the like - but if you're feeling the urge for something else, you'll be able to find it stocked somewhere in the back. On the other end is a table with thirty wrapped bags and a placard reading 'A star for our stars! Please accept these lovely giftbags as a token of appreciation for your hard work, sponsored by [illegible smudge]'. Each bag has a tag bearing the name of someone in the mansion; you will only be able to open the bag with your name on it. As soon as you open it, any memories that have been taken from you, including those of the other people in the mansion that you may have forgotten, will be returned in their entirety. Within the bag are also objects from your home that you may want for your stay here, though you will find no weapons.

There are no other doors in the hall save for the one leading back into the theatre room. There are also no windows; it is impossible to tell where you are and what is going on in the outside world. Any attempts to break out will fail. So in the meantime, why not sit back and enjoy the show?]

Murder Manor reunion week continues! This week is taking place outside the game (and will not be remembered by the living characters). Once the week is over, the living characters will be right back where they left off, Sunday night in the manor.

During the times when Doris is taking questions, characters will not be able to talk about things that are 'off topic.' They can talk and reunite with one another, but need to focus on things relevant to that week or topic of discussion. Any time they get off topic, they will find themselves stuck trying to make the words come out of their mouth and will simply trail off. There will be breaks where characters can talk without this restriction, but the same will happen to anyone who, at any time, starts trying to talk about anything to do with there being a Mastermind or player to benefit from the game or planted player who isn't Lithuania. Codes and other attempts to get around this rule will still result in trailing off.

All the living characters have now arrived, and all characters may participate, although Yuzu is not here and characters may notice Belarus, Clyde, and Michael Altman seem to be empty shells.

You sound like you maintain a good collaborative dynamic. It's important for every member of an organization to be on the same page. I wish the same principle held for my peers...

Mn, well of course. We're meant to be together. It just took some time to actually find each other, but that fateful day when I laid my eyes on Riot... I knew that after that we'd never be separated! I gave up everything I had to join the two of them and do what I am and always was destined to do: create music.

[ She places a hand on Kanaya's shoulder, giving her a smile. ] I'm sure one day you'll find who you're meant to be with too. Once you sense their auras surrounding them... you'll realize exactly who they are and how much they will change your life! Everything will come together and make perfect sense.
speakveryclearly: Kanaya, chin in hands, looks over, eyes narrowed, at sad Karkat sitting right beside her. Diamond hangs in the air. (Unrequited)

[Kanaya cannot smile back and her skin even dims a bit. Her race is dead, not in a fun reality television way. Nobody understands that, she thinks, not even - especially not - the nations; only Annie even comes close to comprehending the concept of such a large, final loneliness. She is of course intoxicating and addictive and amazing to be alone with... but Rapture is right in that Kanaya needs other people, too, to feel complete.

Troll relationships sure are weird.]

There would be no point in any species developing sentience sufficient for interpersonal interaction if they were not in actuality operating under the control of a system involving serendipity...

I don't think so. I've never felt right anywhere except with the Stingers. We're practically one person split into three separate parts, nobody can beat us because we complete each other. [ She gives her own longing sigh. ] We're destined to be together and always have been!

As I see it... I interact with fans quite frequently, but when it comes down to it I only care about the Stingers and the music we make. There's a difference between interacting with someone you meet only once and finding that perfect match. The Stingers have a different bond for a reason simply because of how we came to be. It may have been a fateful meeting, but we fought every night and day to get where we are now.

We're together because nobody else can keep up with us and because we deserve to be on top. We've had our own share of rejection, but we didn't give up and we proved them all wrong. [ Her smirk returns. ] And now nobody can beat us.
