I'm obviously not trained in the art of guns, but wouldn't a rifle be more obvious... and loud? Louder than a handgun even? Most people are up at the time May claimed she was in the chapel, they would have obviously heard something like that even inside the house.

Maybe they saw the struggle and all they had on them was the hidden handgun, so they used it to protect her.

I do not think that loudness would matter entirely, as the chapel is quite a distance from the manor... But I do not have any experience with rifles either, so I do not know exactly how loud they might be.

Wouldn't it have a bigger sound range though? I mean... you'd think that something would tip it off being a rifle wether it be the echo or Lithium being upset by the loud noise.

As I have said, I do not know enough of rifles to know that. It would simply have needed to make a very large sound to be heard from a twenty or thirty minute walking distance... How soon was it fired, do we know? What was the state of the body at the time of its discovery?

Beats me. It's probably better to ask the people who found him in the first place. If May was unconscious, she wouldn't have heard it either so asking her would obviously be out of the question.

Right... That would be Miss Nevermind and Mr. Lithuania, correct? [since obviously asking Gundam is a little out of the question, currently.]

Asking Lithuania seems like a good idea. He... seems to know a lot about bodies.

I've had quite a lot of combat experience, that's all.

[BUT ANYWAY...]

I'm not certain when it was fired, but I can say there were three wounds--the wound in his shoulder, the one that went through his chest and out his back, and his slit throat. His eyes were extremely bloodshot as well, and he looked angry. There was some bruising around the wounds on his chest, but nothing else that I noticed.

Thank you, Mr. Lithuania. —Ah, but I have one more question; had the body cooled by the time you arrived?

No, it was still warm.

...With the weather being so chill, that would mean that he had died not long before discovery, correct?

Yes. [Pause.] Assuming there's no situation like the second week, anyway.

[WEEK TWO...]

[HAAAaa week two, Kaoru looks discomforted by the possibility.]

...Come to think of it, does anyone here actually know of Mr. Beat's abilities in any detail? But surely we can at least rule out that his body has similar properties to Miss Takami's if it is retrieved and not... still warm.

That is certainly true...
