This post will cover the weekend period from the end of trial Friday evening to early Sunday evening, when new incentives will be announced. No murders will take place over this time.

[coming in as the pad is thrown..... Rin thinks about walking right back out. But that'd be rude.]

[Sighing, Kanaya gets up to retrieve her work.]

I'm sorry, this could have hit you--

[Since it fell close enough for that to be a possibility, she'll just pick it up for her]

Aw, that's fine. Do you wanna talk about it? ♪

[She'll have a glance at whatever page the sketchbook fell on before she hands it over]

[They meet in the middle to share a look at a borderline superheroic design: Layers, like Annie got, but clearly more masculine, and likewise instead of a skirt straightforward pants. The cape turns into a hood, over a face blank except for a mouth full of fangs: Two protruding canines much like Kanaya's own, with the addition of four sharp pseudo-incisors in between. The margins reserved for color notes are full of question marks - she seemed to intend something dark but can't find the right balance between green and brown. The skull on the chest doesn't have quite a charismatic shape either...

The wings are the worst. She can't see his real ones, and has barely even managed to gather that they're black - only the monochrome nature of the pencil-on-paper medium affords that compliance with reality. She has tried several different shapes, none accurate, none angular enough - they're all markedly insectoid.

Rin can look how she wants but Kanaya's regard should have a dis put in front.]

I don't know if that will help.

[Thanks to the blank face and fangs, she can't quite tell who this is supposed to be. So she is assuming that it is indeed some kind of superhero design...]

Well, for what it's worth, this doesn't seem too bad. It's like a comic character! Is he a troll superhero? ♪

[She wants to say No but the actual explanation escapes her... why not go along?]

Sort of a cultural analogue to that, yeah. The color scheme's been challenging me, though, and what kind of super hero has a bad color scheme.

Hm, that is a problem. [She reads the notes]

Brown isn't that heroic of a color to me, but green... ♪

[Rin trails off. Well, green is a pretty color, isn't it? But for some reason, she feels like she shouldn't like it much. She scratches her head a bit.]

I guess... it's got associations with plant life and all that. [Those memories, gardening and landscaping, are some of the clearest ones she has.] At the same time as a reaper he's kind of a hero of... death. [That word doesn't seem like it's how the sentence was supposed to end, even though it makes the most literal sense. Homestuck.] Which is what I was going for with the dark themes, albeit unsuccessfully.
