[Kanaya's been in the conservatory for a long while but finally when it gets to be around noon she deigns to head inside. That's when the spectacle faintly visible through the sunroom's glass walls finally becomes clearly visible to her.

Several minutes later, she emerges through the roof's trapdoor. Jumping that high from within the foothold-heavy realm of the third floor wasn't very hard for her - she just can't fly.]

There's a forcefield over the fence itself as well?

[He is surprised to have her jump out at him, so for a moment he puts up his guard, but she seems friendly enough so he'll just channel it into enthusiasm.]

Yeah, tha's right! It's like a wall disguised as a fence!

[Expression hardens at the news: Her suspicions confirmed.] I'd been afraid of as much. That woman with the ribbon had said the barrier extended below so existing above as well is logical...

Thanks for checking that out. Not many of us have that capability if the albums are to be believed.

Yeah, well I hope it's good for somethin', cause that wall is big as hell! My wings were startin' to get tired on that last trip.

So it goes into the ground too, huh... [It's starting to seem like a lost cause.]

There really seems to be no side it stops at any point either up or down... At the same time, my curiosity is a little piqued as to what exactly would happen if it were approached by someone else, on the other side.

Because people have to know we're missing, unless of course their memories have also been doctored.

You got a point. But how they gonna find us? I can't even tell what country we in.

[And even from the rooftop view, there's nothing to be seen for miles around the house...]

Maybe we can be seen aerially...? I don't know what the countries of your planet are, I'm really not the person to ask on that one.

Oh yeah... You think your alien buddies can come tractor beam us out?

They might be capable but since they're in space it would be relatively easy for the producers to fabricate a reasonable-seeming departure note from myself without them being able to follow the lack of tracks.
