Huh...it kinda sounds like Poland might have written it himself. Unless the killer mixed it in, which yuck, but if they wanted it gone it would have been easier and less nasty to just burn it instead of hiding it in a room they knew would have to be searched.

I don't think Poland would have typed it, though. He stayed in bed all day, so going out of his way to reach the typewriter...
