So someone did try to frame May while she was knocked unconscious. I guess they had to rush and get everything together before she woke up and they tried disguising the bullet wound as a kunai one, but did a pretty bad job of it.

Are we looking for an inexperienced killer then? Or one so experienced that they wanted the murder to look inexperienced?
