The wendigo is a demonic creature from Native American legend that can either possess humans or become a monster from what used to look like a human. It feeds on flesh and it heavily associated with cannibalism. It's never satisfied after one killing and always seeks for more flesh and blood.

Blackwood's short story is about campers in the wilderness hunting for moose. They end up dealing with the wendigo. It's great for suspense.
